Yes. Hunter Soleymani will pitch today against UTA. I'm sure the coaches are giving Kevin Hill the extra day to rest so that he has a week in between starts like he is used to during the regular season.
Risky though for USA. They are NCAA bubble. Last thing they want is to get forced to play Little Rock in the losers bracket tomorrow.

USA was called out at the plate on a squeeze play... it was close.
USA was able to cash in one run and leads 1-0 after 1 inning.

Me and a buddy are driving up Friday afternoon. Found a guest house for a good rate on airbnb that is near campus. Hotels were stupid expensive for anything decent around San Marcos.
USA is outhitting UTA 6-2 but can't create any separation. Tied 2-2 going to B7. We are really missing Travis Swaggerty in the lineup today.
UTA's 3rd hit of the game is also a HR. UTA leads 3-2.
That's what Simmons has done all year. Give up a run or three in the first inning, settle down and scatter hits with zeros on the board.

That's what our offense has done as well. Score in early innings and hope it's enough to make up for our bullpen's mistakes. I really hope some of the new pitchers next year can add depth to the bullpen, because we have none.
Seems to me, watching from a far, that you guys need a beefier lineup. I have great respect for your pitching staff.

Well...if USA was saving Hill assuming they'd be playing Little Rock in the second game, I guess they were right.
Must win for USA tomorrow. A 2 and Q is probably the end of their NCAA chances.

Well, starting pitching didn't lose us this game.
We just don't know how to close out the season. Hopefully we can get this ship righted overnight.
