They have nothing to talk about so they comment on our stadium issues. Pretty funny. Some of their posters are literally in outer space!
Maybe they can give us their stadium. They don't need it.

I read the thread and agree SOME are out there, but then again some of ours are too. Most of their posters were quite knowledgable about our stadium situation and I thought very realistic.
Personally I'd love them to go FBS and give us an in-state rival.

I've often thought the same thing. Do we have room for it?

I've often wondered if the Cox bill came about due to the money they spent on that place$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I just looked up their stadium and I came across this beauty. Too bad the link doesn't work anymore.

Highly doubt it...his alma mater is JMU...

It's a purple women's college somewhere in the state. They have riots occasionally.
There is a video somewhere that I've watched that showed Bridgeforth in its three phases that included the sideline stand thats already up, the endzone, and then the other sideline stands. It looked pretty great when it was full (as I'm sure it would in real life as well). I'm not gonna lie when I saw that JMU was expanding (I went to a JMU game and the stadium was under renovation at the time), and saw the proposed phases and the completed first phase I was impressed. I just wish they finished it. Maybe if the EMU stuff goes down and the JMU AD decides to be smart, they could jump to the MAC and expand a little bit more (this is all wishful thinking)
Is this the video you're talking about?

JMU would make a great conference mate. I wish their fans luck in their quest for FBS classification.
Congrats they will have the biggest FCS stadium and no one will care.

Yes! That is it. And look, they even added a Foreman Field clamshell in their end zone to honor us. How flattering haha.

And I agree. As much as I and others poke fun, it would be great if we could be an in-conference rival again. The JMU games almost had the feeling of VCU basketball games, even though we had never played each other. The relatively short distance, the presence of an in-state rival, and the familiarity with the schools with former athletic ties would be more than welcome from me and I assume many other fans. But who knows if it will ever happen. With the possibility of conference realignment again, we don't know what will happen.

I mentioned before that I like their stadium. They did a pretty good job.
It would be nice to see JMU be in the same conference as us. Would be nice to play against a team that we could drive to easily and there is already somewhat of a rivalry there. Can easily see lots of ticket sales, though not as much as a VT, UVA game.
Found this... Now I feel this thread has turned into "ODU talks about JMU stadium" lol this will be my last post about Bridgeforth

That is the final design...done by a board member in photo shop, but close to what it would look like.

Honestly, I doubt we ever finish that. There simply is no need for 44k right now.

Yeah, I got it from the JMU2FBS site. It looks awesome and hopefully one day it can look like this. But you're right, 44k is a LOT of seats. I don't see the need for that unless you guys end up in the ACC or even the AAC to a lesser extent. But, at least wrapping the lower bowl all the way around into a horseshoe looks like its a decent possibility of happening, IF you guys can make the jump to FBS.
It really makes stadiums much nicer when you can dig down for the lower bowl. Makes it difficult for our stadium to look really nice since we can't.
