Big Man, like I said....
If me being a FAN of NIU and a FAN of DIESEL means I have issues....
Then by all things holy, I have "ISSSUES".
And damn proud of them I might add. Seems like you are having the issue
with my simple gesture. Get over it okay. It's not life changing for you
or for me for Gods sake.
High Five ..."DIESEL" ...LOL
Please I ask everyone to pray for me so that I can be exactly like Big Man..
I want to be a FAN of nothing like Big Man.
I want to be an emotionless blob of goo.
Oh, unless of course it is something that Big Man is a FAN of....
Then I want to be a FAN of that and ONLY that.....
Since ONLY the things that Big Man are a FAN of truly matter....
But maybe you are a FAN of nothing.....That's fine. Your choice.
Here endith the lesson. Thank you Big Man....Your my Hero.
Would love to continue this pointless conversation but its time for my "issue" meds :-)
Hopefully Big Man can allow FANS to express themselves as they see fit without havin a Cow...and telling them they have "issues"...
I think you're kind of over exaggerating just a tad.
I think it's more of an issue of, sometimes things and people die. **** happens. They did a memorial tribute which was fine. I don't think there needs to be a statue, or a a long standing chant that becomes tradition, or a high five thing, it just is what it is. A beautiful and awesome dog died. You can be sad, but to act like DeKalb just lost some kind of hero is a bit much.
Diesel was 13, which forgive me if I'm wrong, but that's just about the lifespan of a dog, no?
Again, I don't mean to sound insensitive. If I spent 13 years with a dog and the dog died, you're damn right I'd be sad and I'd probably cry also. But no one here except for the owner could possibly have gotten that emotionally attached to a dog, you've seen on tv or from a distance for a few months out of the year.
Excuse me?
Did I say I wanted to build a statue? No
But I do respect the rights of others who may wish this.
How would a statue impact my life? Not at all.
Nor will my high five have any impact on anyone else. Including me.
I am not over exaggerating here.
I am simply saying FANS should have the right to express
themselves as they see fit. There are millions of things
FANS do across this country. What is the harm?
I did not cry when Diesel died. I am not saying we worship him as a God.
I am simply saying that FANS can "if they chose" to adopt something, anything, in a sign of recognition. Fly flags, sing songs, dance, or anything they wish....
What is the harm? Nothing.
Who does it hurt? No one.
So why do others chose to make these gestures an "issue" ? Beats me.
Maybe they were not held as a child.
Maybe they were bitten by a dog.
I really do not know and really do not care.
Lighten up and let FANS be FANS. It is not brain surgery here.
It is suppose to be FUN. And if Diesel brought joy and fond memories
to people, let FANS be FANS and do as they please. Try and be happy
for them. They are FANS. This is my last comment about this.
Sorry if my high five "Diesel" bothers or worries anyone....all is well.
