We start out as 12 point dogs.
I'm not surprised we're dogs, but I am surprised that it appears Vegas still doesn't seem to see us as an improved team. We were 11+ dogs at WM, should have won the game by double digits and only lost by 4. So... what gives here?

I know it's Hofstra, and at their place and all, but this is clearly a competitive UNCW team. We aren't the bottom of the CAA.
till we show we can play 40 mins. we will be dog. we played the same way last year one half good and one half terrible
Hey 75, how's the skiing?
Spread is now 11.5.
I just checked to see what the spread was and I was in the Coastguard camp. People are making a fortune betting UNCW these days. The Hawks have competed in every game but you never know. I'll just add this, it looked like the Tribe was only a 5 point favorite at Towson. I don't bet anymore, never did much, but that seems to be a lock for the Tribe. Go Hawks! Play a good game!!
proff the skiing is good suppose to snow sunday. may have to come home early mom is in hospital depends on test. keeping up with team on this site
I've felt good going into practically every game this year. We haven't come out on top but once against a team we shouldn't beat, but I still felt good going in.

I don't feel good about this one. Hofstra is guard heavy, and their guards are simply better than ours. More points, less turnovers, lot's of assists. They couldn't hit the broad side of a barn last game, but I don't think they will take us lightly this time. My feeling is that they will jump out to a big lead early and coast to a win. CJ was our best player against Hofstra in the first half last time, and we completely abandoned going to him in the second half. Our only chance is to primarily stay in the zone, and stop the penetration that led to so many free throws last time. Then, we have to hope they don't light us up from 3.

79-64 The Hof.
They do have that really good guard. We have some good ones too though. Talley is going to be good for a long time at the point. You never know. We will see if they compete or not today. They have all season sans the Ohio debacle. And, they were winning in that game...
Good NY morning fellas! Waiting for the Hawks to arrive at the Mack for shoot-around. 7-6 ATS so far this year so barely up for the year when you add the vig.
Spread now 11 points. Another northeastern effort is needed.

Good morning! Welcome back. Did you travel all the way up to NY for this game?

Sigh. We've been over this man, lol. The only thing that matters to Vegas are betting trends. 95 % of the people responsible for these spreads don't care about basketball.

I know buddy. It still chaps my a$$ though. LOL
I'm watching the pre game on the Hofstra feed right now. Some of these questions and answers from the Hofstra folks are amusing. One guy says the biggest threat in terms of scoring the ball on our team is Ponder.

Ponder can be a big factor, but main scoring threat? LOL
Also, nice to see ALMOST all of our players place their hands on their hearts for the national anthem. Get it right next time CJ!!!

Not one player from Hofstra.

I know this is nitpicking, but that's important to me. Thanks for showing a good example up in NY fellas!

We are starting 4 guards and Ogbodo. Interesting!
Turnover on the first possession leads to a Hofstra break and layup.
