I could easily see Memphis starting out 1-5. The next four games are much easier, but three are on the road. Then they get UCONN and USF at home, the two teams that I think will make the biggest improvement this year. I see 4 or 5 wins.

Wins:
Austin P, SMU, Tulsa, Temple, Tulane (maybe)

Losses:
UCLA, Cincinnati, Houston, Ole Miss, Mid Tennessee, UCONN, USF
Memphis Football Schedule:
Austin Peay - Saturday Aug. 30th - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (W) 1-0
@ UCLA - Saturday Sept. 6th - Rose Bowl Stadium (L) 1-1
Middle Tennessee State - Saturday Sept. 20th - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (L) 1-2
@ Ole Miss - Saturday Sept. 27th - Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field (L) 1-3
@ Cincinnati - Saturday Oct. 4th - Paul Brown Stadium (L) 1-4

South Florida - Saturday Nov. 22nd - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (W) 4-7
UConn - Saturday Nov. 29th - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (W) 5-7

So I'll go with 5-7 overall, 4-4 in conference...

Note:I changed my mind about SMU and Temple from my vote in the poll above...
WINS: APSU, MTSU, Tulsa, Temple, USF, UConn
LOSSES: UCLA, Mississippi, Cincy, Houston, SMU, Tulane

I was at the MTSU game last year and Memphis was the much superior team. Numerous dropped passes and a massive number of penalties which the team filed an official complaint about were the factors. They still lost in the last few minutes despite all that. It won't be close at home. I think they go 6-6.
Kruciff you really think we'll beat old mrs?

We did beat them in 03 when they had Eli Manning. Started our nice little 2 year run. So I guess stranger things have happened.

Same thing I picked...exactly.
5-7 overall / 3-5 conference

Wins over Austin Peay / MTSU / SMU / USF / UConn.

If they could beat Tulsa at home or Temple on the road, good shot a bowl.

making a bowl game would be great for the Memphis fan base...besides, I miss making bowl plans during the winter.
4- 8. Wish it wasn't so. Just too tough of a schedule. Wins over Austin Peay / MTSU / Tulsa / UCONN

Too bad we don't play stAte this year or that'd be 5 guaranteed wins.

Yep. Beat them in 03 and 04. Then lost to them the next 3 years in a row by a combined total of 9 points. Could have easily been 5 wins in a row..

Hahahahaha!!! You guys have won one game is the series and you were lucky to win that one. I don't see you winning anymore. You're right it won't be close. We will win by three touchdowns.
