Toledo's season is scheduled to start on Valentine's Day against Xavier in Greenville, South Carolina.

Something called College Sports Madness has named 2 Rockets to its preseason All-MAC squad. Here's a link to the story on the UT site.

Just looking over the roster, it doesnt seem like we lost a ton to graduation last year. Hopefully we have a good season!
Looking at their non-conference schedule, early season win and loss record may not be the best indicator of where the team is at. Their non-conference schedule is grueling.

Youre wrong. If we beat Indiana and Louisville, Ill know exactly where the team is at. 04-cheers

And if they beat Louisville twice that weekend along with Indiana, we might as well order our tickets for the CWS.
Go Rockets!!!!!

3rd but barely behind first place!
Toledo won't have its opener on Friday after all, thanks to the weather. And either the UT staffer who wrote the story about this is a huge fan of the Weather Channel or TWC's idea of naming winter storms is catching on, as the article refers to "Winter Storm Pax."

Here's a link.

UT lost its opener 6-4 to Xavier.

Here's a link to the box score on the Xavier site. Didn't see anything about it yet on the UT site.

Rockets have two scheduled tomorrow, one against Norfolk State and one against Furman.
Toledo defeated Norfolk State 11-3 (if I heard the Furman announcer correctly). Apparently the UT-Furman game will be available on this feed (the link is below). Sometimes you'll get silence or just hear some noise but no announcer, as the game hasn't started yet, but the announcer will break in periodically. At least that's been my experience in the last few minutes. Game was scheduled to start at 3 Eastern but they're behind schedule. Apparently Furman played at a different park than the one where they will play the Rockets and the Paladins are on their way to the park as of now.

Doesn't seem to be any charge to listen. Here's the link.

In case you're not listening to the occasional updates, word as of a few minutes ago was that Furman had arrived at the park. But no word as to exactly when the first pitch will be.
Game's underway.
UT lost to Furman 13-5. Rockets led 1-0, fell behind 6-1 and got it back to 6-5 before things fell apart.

They're scheduled to go to Baton Rouge next weekend to face Texas Southern on Friday, Louisiana State on Saturday and Virginia Tech on Sunday.

Sounds like the defense played well, getting a safety and stuffing an extra point try, but the offense has GOT to do better than one field goal....what? Oh. Never mind.

Rockets and Texas Southern are scoreless in the fifth inning, with UT coming up in the bottom of the 5th.

Toledo doesn't have a hit yet, according to live stats.

Just in case you're superstitious. 03-wink

Here's a link (I hope it works) to the live stats if you're interested.
