Too lazy to read 62 pages of Eagle fans coaching search prayers, but I think Jamey Chadwell would be a good canidate. He has a hotwife too, I've posted her pic before during App State's search a few years ago. Not sure if his name has been tossed around or not.
Lashlee's offense, assuming he runs the Gus-fence, would be a good transition for Georgia Southern from this silly triple option mess to the modern world.

We aren't that different from Auburn's offense.

Silly triple option mess?

I've got one word for you: Navy.

If there ever comes a point in the distant future beyond most of our lifetimes where winning a national championship is realistic or even if GS is in a league with current power 5 teams the question could be revisited but for now I'm fine with what we are doing.
The teams in FBS that run the triple option I believe are Navy, Army, Air Force, Georgia Tech, and New Mexico. With the exception of Army and Georgia Tech, the other 3 had pretty good years.

Kiffin's wife wanted to get the hell out of Knoxville, which is why Lane bolted as quickly as he did. Doubt she would green light a move to Statesboro

Hence the transition comment. Let's you recruit QBs who can run AND throw.
The triple option is a play, not a scheme. In our offense the triple would be the zone read combined with the speed option. We have done that very rarely this season.

Air Force, Navy, Army and Georgia Tech are the only teams that run a version of the Flexbone or Veer. New Mexico, Georgia Southern, and Auburn (at times) all run a variation of an option offense but the blocking schemes are completely different from the Flexbone/Veer.

Our Flexbone squads always threw better than this. This is the worst passing year in the history of the program.

Well post it again brother! There's definitely no excitement on this thread having to do with the actual coaching candidates (so far), give us something!
From what I'm hearing we had a ton of interest in the position. Based on pure speculation the top 3 appear to be coalescing into:
1. Pry (Co-DC, Asst HC @ Penn St)
2. Chadwell (HC @ Charleston Southern)
3. Gibson (DC @ WVU)

I personally would be happy with any of these. 04-cheers
Why would you want a DC as a head coach for a team that needs to learn how to throw a forward pass.

What is this "forward pass" you speak of?

There's actually been 4 worse years, but this is definitely bottom 5. Funnily enough, one of those that was worse was the 2009 offense 03-puke

Funny enough, New Mexico's OC was Fritz's OC for the first 2 years he was at SHSU. They ran a lot more option then. Ruse is definitely not an option guy and we've started seeing some of that.
Yeah Ruse was our OC for 9 seasons I believe. Definitely not an option guy.
Ruse was more of a 3 and out guy during his time in Jonesboro.

ESPN has an article up that says a lot of the new coaching hires this year have been defensive minded and explains why. I didn't read it though. If I'm GaSo, though, I'm going for the Charleston Southern HC.

If we don't hire him I'll be disappointed, actually.
