So, it looks like Kendall will be in the house tonight...but to scout Aaron Blair...

Fun night ahead. Going to head out to #Rice tonight to see @MU_BASEBALL RHP Aaron Blair. Hearing great things, mid/late 1st-round. #mlbdraft

He was there for the season opener to scout Mark Appel, as well. Let's do unto Blair what we did unto Appel. Go Owls!
They say some big league GMs will also be in attendance. I'll go with Stephens, 1-0.

Blair has lost a couple 1-0 and 2-0 games this year, as well as winning a 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0 shutouts.
Here's the lineup against Blair...

Rice lineup: Stainback SS, Stringer 2B, Cook LF, Ratterree RF, Hoelscher 3B, Aquino DH, Perrott C, Byrd CF, Fox 1B, Stephens P 6:30 pm start

For each their own, but I'm not a big fan of putting all your left-handed hitters and right-handed hitters together in the lineup. Also interesting that Fox-- and not Teykl-- is starting at 1B, given you'd think that Blake would be the first call out of the bullpen tonight. I would have probably gone back to: Byrd, Stringer, Stainback, Ratterree, Cook, Aquino, Hoelscher, Perrott and Fox.[/quote]

Looks like I wasn't the only person with the idea of seeing #Marshall RHP Aaron Blair one last time. Probably 25-35 scouts here to see him.

I guess no one will be there to see anyone from Rice.05-mafia
Play ball! We need a strong early start from Jordan.
Strong first inning for Jordan, giving up just a two-out infield single (strikeoutK, two ground outs).

Stainback flied out to LF.
Stringer ground out to 2B.
Cook ground out to SS.

Scoreless heading to the top of the second inning.

So what's the deal. We can't hit their crappy pitchers, but we light up their stud. Interesting.
Poor scouts.. watching their target's ERA grow and grow..
