Arriving late for the game..wow. An offensive exposion against their Ace.
.
Way to go Owls!
Jordan gives up a leadoff single, but strands him at 2B, thanks to an inning-ending web gem by Hoelscher (sac bunt, strikeoutKKKK, ground out). Let's keep the offense going strong. No let up!

Ratterree leadoff single-- line drive to CF.
Ratterree steals 2B. Hmmm, whether to bunt here. Tough call. Given Blair's wildness so far, I'd love to get Rat to 3B.
Hoelscher successfully sac bunts Ratterree to 3B. One out. Aquino HAS to put this ball in play.
Aquino struck out swinging...and looking again. Two nights in a row in that situaton. Ugh.
Perrott walked. Runners at the corners, two outs.
Wow! Double steal for the run! 02-13-banana First time that's worked in 2+ years. And, just like that, Blair's 10-game quality start streak is no longer!
Byrd walked. Runners on 1B and 2B, two outs.
Fox clutch, two-out, RBI single! 02-13-banana Runners on the corners, two outs.
Stainback clutch, two-out RBI single! 02-13-banana Runners on 1B and 2B, two outs.
Stringer walked to load bases with two outs.
Cook grounded out to strand 3 runners for the second consecutive inning.
Great, persistent offense by the Owls so far tonight. Let's keep the pedal to the metal. No let up!

Good guys lead 6-0 heading to the top of the fourth inning.

Hey, I hear you, and I'm not saying I have no empathy for this kid. He's probably cost himself a few hundred thousand tonight (if not a million). But unless Marshall is willing to forfeit the game, I vote for pouring it on. We need a W, as well as offensive confidence for the future.

Don't you love the aggressiveness; especially in the baserunning? Here's hoping we can continue this for the next...oh...3 - 4 weeks!

Of course we should pour it on. They could always come back, a la UAB. And besides, we need to learn to do so. But Marshall should take him out. He has been extremely ineffective. He is doing neither Marshall nor himself any good.
Across town, UH fell behind USM 3-0, but have answered in the bottom of the 3rd to make it 3-3.
Oh, by the way, UH has timed the game versus USM. 3-3 in the 4th. Way to go, Coogs!
ECU leads UCF 8-7 after 6.

Two words:

That's baseball

Then UCF tied it up T7, 8-all.

WOW! Then ECU gets a 2-out hit to take the lead again B7, 9-8! Go, Pirates!

And ECU has gone ahead 9-8
Don't mean to weigh down this thread with other scores, but they seem *so* relevant to us this weekend. UH gets a leadoff double against USM in B4 (game tied 3-3); meanwhile ECU pitching to UCF top-8th, 4 outs to go for the win.

Then UH gets a walk. 2 Coogs on base, still no outs.

Smack, no need to apologize. If we win, we need UCF and USM to lose, so it is very appropriate.

Aaron Blair is out of the game for #Marshall, and the scouts hit the exits. I think I am too. Going to head over for duration of #USM #UH

No respect for the Owls.

This is not a criticism - I love your commentary and enthusiasm - but, at times, your commentary can be confusing as all getout.

Does the run rule apply to first and second games, or only to third games of a series?

Or, in perhaps the greatest baseball word of all: youneverknow.
UH SCORES!! GO COOGS!! 4-3!!

Yeahhh, boyeeee!! ECU's Drew Reynolds gets a K to wiggle out of a 2-out double to UCF in T8. On to B8 with ECU nursing a 9-8 lead. 3 more outs to a HUGE win (for the Owls, that is).
