1. He was a four star until he signed with UAB. We all know how that goes. He also counts against last years number not this year.
2. Humphrey is eligible to play immediately.
3. We don't need anymore lineman right now. We needed linebackers. We switched from the 4-3 to the 3-4. We had guys sitting out, we had returning players, we also have one or two guys switching to the D-line from other positions. Couple that with us signing two D-lineman we are fine at that position. All our returning linemen are bigger, stronger, and faster according to the coaches.

FWIW we signed

Andra Smith DT 6-4-305 (Memphis)
Kingsley Ejike DE 6-3-230 (Covington Ga)I assume this guy will be red shirted.

We also may sign a couple more if the right guy becomes available for us.
What about Reaves, will he be a walk-on or will he get a scholarship (either now or eventually)?
He was not mentioned.
How many players, current and future made it to the signing day social ?

He actually did mention the younger Reaves when talking about Fuller and McCollough. Something like "Darren's little brother will be on the team, too".
Missed that. It was hard to hear at times. I had the cheerleaders yacking behind me. Wanted to pimp slap them.
Yeah, there will be 5 former CCHS Cougars suiting up in green this fall:

DJ Vinson
The Reaves Brothers
Brandon Fuller
TJ McCollum.

We signed three sets of teammates this year:

Fuller/McCollum out of Clay-Chalkville
Two guys out of Florence.
Two big linemen out of Memphis.

Plus two from Tulsa.
I am very optimistic about this signing class as an indication the new staff has really stepped up the recruiting intensity across the board. In 2012 we signed 7 who were less than 200 lb (3 this time) and 3 (same as this year) who were less than 6 ft. Size isn't everything but it is an important part of the formula for success. If good speed is not sacrificed for size, we could be looking at the beginnings of our climb upwards from our "valley of despair".
Oopsy. Correct. 4 sets of teammates.
Why wasn't it broadcast live like last year?

One of the monster in state schools had their presser at the same time, and I guess 107.7 didn't want to pre-emt their awesome programming to make room.
There is something very wrong when the local media starts touting the next recruiting class this early and discussing the various schools of the media's liking & relating the two.

Classy.
It was a joke. I certainly would not actually do that nor did anyone here think that either. Well almost anyone. Lol

The real issue should not be me making a joke of the situation but why no one stepped in and shut them up. It was very rude what was going on talking and laughing to the point it made it difficult to hear what most of us came to hear in the first place.

You should probably notice that we have 2015 recruiting threads in the recruiting forum before we cast stones.

BS. There is nothing classless about wanting to pimp slap them for talking durring the presentation. Slapping them or screaming "Shut Up you brainless whores!" would have been classless
People come on, Attalla was obvious kidding, but... the will you shut up stare usually works one way or the other.

But lets get back on track here, because the word whore even thought it is a description for male and female alike make me uncomfortable, even if it was meant to be funnier, it missed.

Now I believe this class in 2 years should be a good one, when you get 2or 3 star recruits, they should be 3 or 4 stars in your system by year two.

+1

The cheerleaders having their own chatfest was probably being held in protest of having to show up for duty on a Wednesday night. Telling them to shut up and listen should have been their cheerleader sponsor's job, not a booster's. But if Attalla, or anyone else in the room, had turned and told them "Excuse me, I have paid quite a bit of money through the years in order to be in this room today, and I feel as though I have earned the right to hear the coaches talk. If you feel the need to hold your own meeting, please do it outside."
