Go find that quote Dip. I'll wait.

That doesn't fly, and if they "cared so much" they'd do it and charge a nominal fee for their content. They don't, you didn't. So don't blow smoke up my azz about how they're so charitable and giving to WMU. 03-melodramatic

$8.33/month isn't a nominal fee? (again, we don't set these prices)

Sounds like a "bush league mentality" to me.

You don't have to do Rivals, you could set your own web site up and charge a lot less if you cared so much about "getting the word out" and "helping the university".

You really are tossing around a lot of self serving bull roar here guys. You aren't THAT CHARITABLE.

So you'd rather us find a way to lose money and do this rather than make no money and do it???

What did you charge Persky?

ZERO dollars. It was free.

I could have charged $100. Doesn't matter.

WMU does NOT credential blogs.
DB, you'd be shocked how many parents of recruits would call me looking for pub on their kid. And I'm not talking kids with no interest from D1 schools. Giving their kid some free pub sometimes gave us an edge over schools with no Rivals site.

Furthermore, Rivals pubs can call recruits during the dead period which coaches can't. A lot of times recruits see the publishers as their line of communications with the school. While we were still communicating with the schools in some fashion, other schools didn't have that luxury. While it would be unethical,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,you could pass that info on to the coach who was recruiting that player..............not that I ever did that.

NO, your dumbazz wrote a recruit directly who ended up going to CMU.

I don't believe you guys. Sorry.

Ummm it's branding.

There's a guy who has set in the press box for 6 years, munching on the goodies, and parking next to the president. He has a blog, that I'd wager not one person here has read. He's not stupid, he knows he can get a warm seat in the press box, free food, free parking, and all he has to do is get credentialed.

The idea is to have actual readers. Rivals has that. Blogs, not so much.
I know, cause we actually talk to the media department, and you don't, so you wouldn't know the truth if it hit you in the head.

LOL!! Persky is going to hate on you for proving him wrong.
we are at 12 pages! yes!!!

Its funny! DB has no actual point, just tries to cross us up on what we say! He has no ties to WMU, i think thats obvious enough
Quote:NO, your dumbazz wrote a recruit directly who ended up going to CMU.

Now that's just an out and out lie.

9 or 10 years ago, long before I had Rivals, Brian Brunner did some columns on Wisconsin Preps and posted on their message board. He had decommitted to CMU, but was reconsidering. I simply pointed out the lesser points of CMU to him on the message board. He should have listened to me rather than spending 5 years sending in signals to Fever.

Once he put himself out there he was fair game. A few of the Chimp faithful had a tizzy. Ohhh damn 03-zzz

What's obvious is you guys are threatened because I posted info here before you did and Persky, Dip and now RivalsGuy are going all out to "prove that I'm not an insider" like that really matters.

I see through your act, I'm flattered by all the attention you are giving me in effort to discredit, but in the end, I just really don't like Persky here.

It's not a Rivals vs DB thing, although you sure are trying to make it that way.

I think you guys pretending to "do so much good for the university" is hilarious and self serving at the same time. It doesn't fly with me, not at all.
I'm going to bed so I don't sleep through church tomorrow morning....

This thread was classic.

DB - exposed.
Are you guys talking about the heavy set guy lways snacking during the basketball games? he sits next to Robin right?
