Be a man and do your own brakes and oil. Heck, even air filter and tire air.

I always changed my oil and did my own tires and and air filter. The problem is that on this 4-Runner, you need an extension on the wrench to get to the oil pan around the brush guard on the bottom. ITs really more of a hassle than its worth when a tire and lube shop can just jack it up and get to it without a problem. And if im going to have it in there already to get my brakes done, why not just have everything done?

A real man would change his wifes oil for her.

A real man would change his wifes oil for her.

But a man after his wifes heart would pay someone to do it so he could do what she desires most, spend time with her.

If she read that I would get major bonus points, as it is, I'll be made fun of.

Fact of the matter, I used your logic, but a step further. Everyone hates getting under the car for a simple oil change. I paid $19.99 for the change. I figure that I would pay around $13 to $15 for oil and filter. So I am cool with paying $6 for someone to do the work.
Indeed.
I took my car to walmart to have the oil changed yesterday while I shopped. They couldn't do it because somebody misplaced the wrench to take the oil filter off with. Seriously.
I quit taking my car to jiffy lube and walmart type places after they didn't put the cap back on and stained my garage with dripping oil and had oil all over my engine. In fairness after I pitched a fit they gave me a full refund, but I still will never go back. I take mine to the dealer every time now.
Got my oil changed and my tires rotated at Lexus this past Friday.....they were so backed up I was there from 2:30 to 5:45 (with an appointment) waiting for it. I was not a happy camper. Good thing they have a big screen tv, free snacks and internet service while you wait.

dealers are always backed up on saturdays in my experience. it's nice having an infiniti in memphis as park it here is owned by the same family as infiniti of memphis. when i go out of town on business (at least 2 weeks a month), i come back with my oil changed and my car detailed. it's awesome.

Thanks guys.

My brother is the General Manager of that station. The Ballingers are good people. Great work and they won't screw you on things you don't need.
The Ballingers ARE good people.

JiffyLube put the wrong oil filter on my car, the oil drained out, and I am lucky I didn't blow an engine. They refunded my money, but still....I won't let them touch my car again.

I asked my dealer ~ let's just say I have a Toyota I get serviced on the east side ~ to rotate my tires. They notated my invoice that I needed new tires, didn't rotate them, and sent me home, without telling me. Always check your invoice before leaving to read what they did. I did not need new tires.

Gateway by East High School is my choice. They are owned by an Ole Miss guy, but they are very friendly to Tiger fans. Have a Tiger banner in their office.
