I've searched the world over. Only in Birmingham.

Me too. Literally.
Your ex-mayor, who lives in another city, is now a convicted felon, and a real live clown is running for his seat.

Wait. That probably applies to lots of places.
You've had a meat and three at the Ensley Grill.

You think paying $1.2 million for an 1,100-square-foot house in Crestline is a great deal.

You've almost had a wreck from trying to check out the screen at Fair Park Drive-in while driving down Bessemer Superhighway--especially if you knew an R-rated movie was showing.

You grew up in West End but you never go there anymore because "things" sure have "changed" over there.

You know where the Birmingham Age-Herald building is located.

Anyone remember the round bank in Vestavia.

I don't remember that theatre but i do remember that multiscreen theatre in hoover the Riverchase 6 now called the Carmike 10 which is a dollar theatre now i think.
you remeber that Corridor X was supposed to be finish by 2000.
your city is ranked 3rd in laziest cities in the u.s. but ttown is number 1 so its all good

Does anyone else remember reading the B'ham Post before it merged with the B'ham Age-Herald to form the Post-Herald?

I was a delegate to the last ever Republican State Convention in Mobile the Saturday night in 1968 a tornado wrecked that Fair Park movie screen as it roared down Lomb Ave. to destoy the Double-L BBQ (where I might have been if not in Mobile) and take the front off the GES (Members Only) Dept. Store. across Lomb from Rickwood field. The tornado ripped open the Double-L's refrigerated storage, and a rescue worker almost had a heart attack when he found what he thought was a ripped apart human body- a rack of raw pork ribs.

I LOVE COUSIN CLIFF!!!!! May he rest in peace!
The burgundy mushrooms and a gyro at Moneer's on a Midsummer's midnight under the stars...
You know you are form Birmingham when your mayor wears a burlap sack.
The Burly EARL and 106.9 Catfish for Breakfast..................
Funniest thing I've ever read on a men's room wall was above a urinal at Burly's.

"Please don't throw toothpicks in the urinal. The crabs have learned to poll vault."
...you complain that you don't want your city to become what Atlanta is, but go to Atlanta at every opportunity.
If you watched "Cousin Cliff" & "Sgt. Jack"...
If you ever ate a meal at "The Big Dip"...
If someone from out of town asks you if you're either an auburn or alabama fan? (I really hate that!)....
If you ever saw a first run movie at the Famous, Carver, Melba or Empire Theater.
If you've never enjoyed having an NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA or NHL team of your own...

Bingo! Touche'! Boo-Yah!!!

That's the one!
If you use the word "attraction" to describe Vulcan Park...
If you still use terms like 'Magic City' & 'Football capitol of the south' when describing it...
If you attended pro "rasslin'" matches at Boutwell Auditorium on Monday Nights...faithfully...

Score a direct "F'N Hit" on that one!

Its not the city government... Dont blame the Sewer mess on Birmingham. Jefferson County is a "COUNTY" which includes Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Hoover, ect...
