Ouch. I lump Houston in with UVA and Wisconsin now. Always solid teams but there's always a chance that they just put up an atrocious game where they are lucky to score 30 points.

And Houston is still a #1 seed. ISU plays some nasty D.
That would be ridiculous at this point.

Yeah 30-4 is pretty good especially in the Big 12. Why someone would make an off color comment suggests well maybe they need a life.
Terrible loss deserves terrible comments. Doesn't mean they are already done in the tournament but it's not the best look. Duplicating something that hasn't happened in 56 years is sure to bring criticism, especially since the last team to do this was...Houston.

Congrats to Iowa St.
We were gassed and hobbled and it showed in the last 22 minutes when Iowa St pulled away.
Good thing we got a Friday first round game. An extra day of rest.
If we had our full team, including Arceneuax, Tugler and Walker, we might have lost 1 game all year. Kansas shot 70% at their place. Just their night.
Arceneaux missed all four losses. The first two were very close games. He could have very easily been the difference.
Tugler and Walker missed the Big 12 title game loss. Had we had all three players available, we would have been much fresher in the Final. That second half blow out doesn't happen. Game probably comes down to the wire.
The fact we finished 15-3 and won the league by 2 games without them is incredible to me.

I told my son yesterday that people don't realize what a basketball power Houston was (and still can be). It looks like the Cougars just took over the Big XII!
Maybe. Let's give it another year.

Big 12 tourney title almost always goes to Big 8 schools. Tourney final record:
Kansas 12-4
Iowa St. 6-0 (never lost a final)
OU 3-2
Texas 2-6
Missouri 2-2
Other Big 8 0-2
Everybody else 0-9

We had the best resume heading into that final by far. We could’ve lost by 60 and still been a one seed. Lmao

I had no idea KU had won it 12 times. The regular season is what we emphasize. Iowa State fans come from all over the country for this event. It’s like a giant spring break for their fans. KC rolls out the red carpet for the Cyclones and they take over the P&L, especially if KU sucks like we do this year.
