We have a real knack for playing down or up to competition--this is one of those time, as pointed out, where the Blazers need to dictate the pace. Go to the 13 early and often. Get out in transition and look to score quickly.

It’s painfully obvious, but AK has been far too happy to play at the “molasses in winter” pace of play that UNT and Charlotte play at.

It would be nice to see us dictate the pace and style of play, but don’t count on it.

Additionally, Charlotte had a very nice crowd for their game against north Texas… It will probably be a tough environment for the team to play in.

I went to two different games at Charlotte when I lived there, and both times, the arena was a ghost town… Apparently they’ve improved that a good bit

It would be great to beat a “middle of the pack” team talent-wise, who is temporarily holding first place leading into our Nationally televised home game vs a ranked team in front of our only shot at a half full arena.

Wouldn’t it be nice?

Memories of a time we looked past a really bad Marshall or ODU a few years ago come to mind.

Gaines wasted that possession.’why does he insist on jacking up such awful shots.

It’s really horrible coaching to allow Gaines to keep shooting like this.

He has got to stop shooting unless he’s inside the restricted arc. Thank goodness two of his misses resulted in offensive rebounds.

What does AK see in Gaines that literally no one else does? We’re OK with him being a volume shooter apparently. This is after the offense looked so crisp and good the first 4-5 possessions.

I really don’t know what to say anymore. But I’ll keep saying it…

To be fair, if someone hands you the ball with 4 seconds left on the shot clock and your four teammates are standing still watching you play 1v5, your shooting percentages are going to suffer.

We’d be up by 16-17 and probably double their score if Gaines didn’t think he was Kevin Durant

That may account for 1 or 2 if his awful shots a game. He’s jacked up 5-6 terrible ones tonight early in the clock.

The defense and pace are excellent though. Good job with that

Gaines should be 2-2. His other 5 shots have been abysmal. We could be up by 20+.

If we lose this game, come back and look at this shot attempts and %s. AK refuses to corral him.

Y’all say I’m a degenerate hater, but this lack of attention to detail and lack of discipline is what has separated us from being good, to great, which we should’ve been the last 2 seasons
