RE: Charlotte 49ers
This team has missed the dependability that Quan and Ertel provided. You knew what you were getting from game to game with them. Some other guys have had higher ceilings but much less consistent.

RE: Charlotte 49ers
Another thing is the increased parity in college basketball. There are just more teams now with decent players that are capable of beating just about any team on a given night. Saw an interesting stat that bears this out:
AP top 10 teams are 17-27 on the road this season vs unranked opponents. That 38.6% win percentage in such road games compares to a 73.2% win percentage in 2018-2019. Also, across all of the college basketball the home team wins 73% of the time. Not to excuse a 20 point collapse, but it's also just hard to win on the road.

Conference Records
Louisville 1-7
Cincy 2-4
Marquette 4-3
Hmmm.
Damn, you UAB guys have some selective memories. Talking about how yall used to "compete" with those CUSA teams in your "glory" years in the same thread you claim you should never lose to Charlotte. Uhhh, you may want to check the record books from those "glory years". Tell me who was the second winningest team in CUSA 1.0 after Cincy. I'll give you a hint, it wasn't UL, Marquette or Memphis and it damn sure wasn't UAB.

Y’all have more single digit win seasons over the last several seasons than winning seasons. You’re damn straight I’m embarrassed losing to y’all and getting passed by North Texas and FAU. Y’all paid to play in the postseason last year. We’ve done that once in my memory and it was to allow the last guy to save his job but he went on to lose to Brown.
