6 of the 14 current members of the AAC have made it to a Final 4, compared to 3 of the 11 MWC members. Big problem for the AAC is 2 of the teams with better history in the league, Temple and Wichita, are DFL.

It's not our fault. We beat Memphis when it was a quad 1 road win in the 50s in the NET. We also beat UNT on the road while they were ranked in the 60s or so in the NET. Both teams crashed and fortunately, UNT has recovered some. Then FAU comes and they actually remained a Q1 win after our game until they conveniently dropped 4 spots last night to 33. On the bright side, If FAU wins tomorrow they will likely return to being a quad 1 win or SMU will become a quad 1 opportunity. I'm kind of split on this because we did earn a Q1 win vs. FAU (and our best win of the season by far), but if SMU wins I think FAU has a good shot at recovering back to Quad 1 to give us 3 Q1 wins. After that point, it's pretty much dependent on the conference tournament-assuming FAU and SMU stay above 50 we'll have two more shots for Q1 wins there.

The easiest thing to do is simply win the conference championship. This team is better than its NET ranking for sure.

The Temple issue has plagued this conference from just about Day 1. We really expected them to be a top half of the league program even in the old AAC setup and it just hasnt happened.

If Memphis wins this weekend against FAU we will move below 75 in the NET which will make us a Q1 victory for yall. Currently 82 but the efficiency numbers will take a big leap in the NET if we beat FAU.

Wichita State's Out of Conference SOS is 135 and ECU's is 342. ECU has played a dog **** schedule and lost to two teams worse that 230 in KenPom. That is why.

The 29th rated program in the KenPom era(1997-present). The next closest AAC member is Wichita St at 67th. SDSU is the highest rated MWC school at 68th.

UNT is 155th.

Historically speaking:
Memphis, WSU, Temple should be near the top Tulsa, Charlotte, SMU, UAB should be pushing the top three, with FAU being relevant lately USF, Tulane, and UNT should be capable of getting up there on any given year but not likely consistently. Right now UNT and FAU are doing their part Memphis and WSU, Temple, Tulsa in particular are under performing. Anything ECU, Rice, and UTSA give the conference is a bonus.
