I'm anxious to see if Kenny Levari pitches any, and if Ticer can stay healthy and have a big season at the plate.

Yes. Also if Lincoln Ransom pitches. He pitched some for the Peninsula Pilots during the summer.

Yeah, there are a fair amount of options and flexibility. Aside from Freshmen, it's possible Stallings could play 3rd also. Not sure if Abrams has a particular infield position he would lean towards more.

Would assume 2nd for Abrams. Also the early reports on Holobetz is he will be our next drafted player. And even better, when we first started interviewing him, he wanted to talk about his teammates first. A+ guy there.

Who are the other candidates for the weekend slots and midweek? Morgan? Brown?

Any word on when the final renderings of the stadium will be made public? I noticed some slight changes in the most recent post on twitter/X. Have they cemented plans yet to a playing field during renovations? I know they were going back and forth between Harbor Park and War Memorial… is that still the plan?

Expectation is for Brown to be the Saturday guy. Midweek/Sunday is going to be interesting. Lots of options there that will need to be ironed out.

I have no intel, but that is the logical guess. But I will say that the early schedule might alter something so that we start someone with experience in the early mid-week games vs. UVA and ECU. The logic here is that they will be important games before we get into conference play. Once that happens, we could get back to putting our top three starters in the weekend series. But my history of trying to predict what Finny will do is terrible.

Wouldn't put too much stock into the weekend starters. Baseball has become a game of matchups. The bullpen throws more innings than the starters now. There are a lot of programs that are happy with their starter getting through the lineup one time. The "don't let the lineup see him twice" is becoming a regular thing now.

Im not sure that has made its way to our program yet. I think they try to start the best 2 pitchers friday and saturday

Well, yes. That is still what programs do, but they do not hesitate to go with a matchup in a big spot. Starters are still important.

Thanks for the information. I wondered last season why Kenny wasn't tried on the mound any at least in relief after reading of his pitching success in his bio. There were several times when certain pitchers didn't fare well and knowing his background it seemed like it would have been worth a try to see what he could do. Hopefully he does a decent job if and when his number is called to pitch this season.
