Hate Week in Georgia - Inner City Kitties vs Backwoods Birds
And this one is going to be HUGE

City vs Town
Commuter vs Traditional
Rap vs Country
Hood vs Farms
Start up vs Old school
Gucci vs Carhartt

This might be the biggest game of the rivalry thus far.

First order of business: find a better name than “Modern Day Hate” that Ben Moore tries to push every year

To be fair, I think everyone wants to beat Georgia State right now.

We've got a monkey we need to get off our back. Kind of like when Samford entered the SoCon and they beat us 3 times in a row.

This is kinda impressive. Somehow, you’ve managed to be borderline racist towards both blacks AND whites.

But whatever. I get it’s supposed to lighthearted and fun.

So it’s not at all offensive. More like Michael Scott level awkward.

Always the game circled on the calendar when the schedule comes out. I'll be in Florida Thursday getting ready to go on a cruise. Last time I was in Florida and the Panthers played in State's boro they left giving TDS the biggest home loss in program history (34-7). I'm really hoping that luck rings true again.

That said, TDS fans have explained their losing record to GSU as being this game is our "Super Bowl" and the players are just more amped up to play and it's just another game for them. Lousy excuse but whatever. Can't say that this season. Biggest matchup of the series for sure.

I don't know any Southern fan that believes that. The only time we've lost and were definitely the better team was 2015 and that's just from having a coach and staff focused on where they'll be going next than winning the game.

Our record is what it is mainly because we apparently had an interim president that thought Jamey Chadwell was too much of a Jesus freak so she vetoed him and we hired a guy that didn't deliver the offensive coordinator he promised and had nothing to qualify him except gushing about traditions to the hiring committee.

I've heard that said so many times. Maybe it's a very vocal single person but it's been said enough that we have our own jokes about it.

RE: Hate Week in Georgia - Inner City Kitties vs Backwoods Birds
Im most excited for the fact that this is the first time since UCONN where we can pin our ears back to rush an immobile QB. Our best rushers can play full speed without worrying about containment. Unlike every other QB in the SBC, this QB won't be improvising with his legs on broken plays, which is a huge relief.

It's interesting that practically every SBC team has a duel threat QB who can move around to escape pressure. Look at our game vs Louisiana for example. Their collection of RBs had 46 yards total on ~2 yards per carry. Their mobile QB created 100 yards improvising with his legs on broken plays! He kept the drives going even when all the receivers were covered.

Also, could this be THE game where the Panthers finally put out a complete game where we play well in all three phases? Offense, defense or special team, one of these have let down the other during previous 7 games. I want to see a perfect game where we bring it all together.

Unfortunately, GS still lacking while GaSt has the best team they've ever had by far. The GS team that's shown up the last two games doesn't stand a chance. Only the best performance with some luck can win a close one for GS.

I hope you're right but have been scarred too much by the full history of this program to feel comfortable. (I mean, not our history against GS, obviously...05-stirthepot)

If I had to make a pick, I'd take Panthers by less than a touchdown, but that makes me even more nervous.

I'm in the same camp. I know we can win but will we? I think it's going to be a close one and hopefully we are able to get the win.
