Thats always been the case for most coaches. Now it applies to players as well.

Hard to blame Mike for leaving. He had several. to name a couple, his wife wanted to leave. He also had to get a lawyer to get his bonuses. His frustrations with our administration was at a boiling point. We were more handicapped as an athletic department than we are now. Promises not kept etc. Had things not been as problematic here we could have kept him until Arkansas came calling. I think our coaches look different had he stayed longer.

Huge upset avoided in the last minute.

Alcorn State finished 14-18 and 13-5 on the season. They came in 2nd in the SWAC.
