Do you know why the next four Bayou Bucket games are not a done deal? Both UH and Rice folks say the details are being worked out. Was it the AD turnover on our side, something on Cullen Blvd, or both? September 14, 2024 looks obvious unless the Big 12 is playing a 9-game conference schedule.

Dang we have some work to schedule two more OOC games for 2024. I guess Oregon State and Washington State are available. If Army jumps into the AAC next year we will need a third OOC game.

1) Impressive win, Rice! Kept checking the ticker at the UTSA game and was shocked when I saw you guys with a 21-0 lead. Glad you were able to hang on.

2) It would be a shame if the Houston/Rice series were interrupted. You’ve played each other 45 times AND you’re FBS cross-town rivals. Whether to continue the series shouldn’t even be up for debate when there’s really no travel required for either school, and fans of both programs are able to see an additional game in person on a yearly basis. Even if it’s every other year, keeping the series alive should be a no-brainer.

I guess somebody has to be the bottom feeders of the Big 12. Looks like Houston and UCF will fit the bill.

UCF did hit a late 55 yard FG to get past Boise. They might be ok this year.
