For me it's 7. But I might be swayed 5 and another APR bowl bid if 3 of those 5 are the Bucket, Mayor's Cup, and Williams Trophy. Need to beat TSU as well and one wild card. Still probably not enough, but I wouldn't hate it as much as other combinations of 5.

I don’t think UH’s QB is any better than UT’s. Which isn’t saying much, based on what I saw last week.

Rice really did impress me with their defense last week, and if UT’s defense (that completely down the Owls) is truly elite, then we definitely have a good shot to win tonight.

Ironically it was 3 INTs tossed by probably the most elite QB in our league that allowed UH to win last week. Win the turnover battle and the Owls will retake the Bayou Bucket trophy.

Spot on. The Chronicle preview says Bloomgren worked with Daniels this week on the turnovers.

Always look forward to the return of Rice football. And I understand the R Room upgrades include the game live announcements. I hope to see the new AD circulating in the R Room.

This is a bit of a rivalry weekend...

Tulane vs Ole Miss: Played 70 times. Ole Miss leads 42-28

Temple vs Rutgers: Played 37 times. About 1 hour drive from each other.

UTSA vs Texas State: only played 4 times but about an hour from each other.

Memphis vs Arkansas State: played 55 times, about an hour away from each other.

Houston vs Rice: played 44 time. Can get an uber to each other. Interesting they have only played 44 times.

UH did not play football until 1946. And it was 1976 before they joined the SWC.
