ACC that loses 4-6 programs is not bringing in B-12 schools.
If Pac ends up on it's feet, Conn, USF, & Memphis might be in B-12

^^^ THIS ^^^
If the ACC doesn't expand BEFORE it loses schools, it may not be able to do so AFTER.

Usually a contract extension comes with expansion, maybe some schools are holding up expansion because other schools are demanding an extension?

When the ACC added Pitt and Syracuse, sure - but that was an attempt to hit a $ figure.

When the SEC added Texas A&M and Missouri, I don't think they extended their contract at that time - only later, when they got the SEC Network.

The University of South Florida board of trustees approved a $340 million budget Tuesday to build a 35,000-seat on-campus football stadium. If I am USF I am advocating for the Gasparilla Bowl to be held on campus!

That sure is a small stadium for so many students. IIRC the UCF stadium seats a little more than 40,000.

BTW the opening game of the new UCF stadium was against Tejas. O'Leary was the coach at UCF.

If FSU gets their panties in a wad they can leave in '36

The problem is that the BIg12 might take them before 2036

I'm adding USF now...have them give notice and join in 1 or 2 seasons. FSU can decide what to do

Why? They don't get pro rata for G5 additions and it's a duplicate market essentially.

Adding USF only strengthens your hold on recruiting amongst Florida. It’s proven being a newly elected AAU member they’re not hurting academics only enhancing them IMO. The ACC needs to quit thinking in the manner they are and ditch the blinders. This day and age the only teams within your footprint who have national appeal belong elsewhere, but should reside in the ACC. Yes you should’ve invited WVU and Cincinnati along with UCF and USF. At some point teams are going to either cough up the buyouts or come 2034 letter of resignations will be applied given the conference notice who’s who is exiting 2036. Better to be prepared now and have teams up to date on the working of the land than just throwing them a bone at the last minute in hopes of survival.
