I would love to see Gonzaga in the Big 12. That's an additive move. The travel issues are exaggerated.

Four PAC 12 schools doesn't really get me excited unless the list includes Oregon or Washington...although the excitement for a potential Colorado move back to the Big 12 has definitely bumped up several notches with Coach Prime in the equation.
I would agree with everything in your final two paragraphs.

As for Yormark's comments, I just don't think there's much to report right now. Everything is in a holding pattern until the UCLA stuff gets ironed out and the PAC-12 gets concrete media numbers.
Yeah I don’t think there’s any way the PAC schools are added for next year. Everything will probably happen next summer if it does at all.

Next summer is too late. The pac12 will need have their deal, grants of rights signed and expansion happen by next spring.

Then there is the matter of scheduling. Any school joining the pac12 will need to work out its scheduling . Similarly any school, that desires to leave the pac12, to join the big12 will need sufficient time to work out its schedule.

Arizona visits Kansas state in 2024. That game will become a conference game.

At this point, am actually convinced no pac12 will leave for the big12. If it happens, it will need to happen by January

If a move happens it will happen as the PAC 12 gets near a new TV deal. I expect that happens in January, or February. They will move rather than signing a new deal. If the new deal is real close to the B12 deal no one moves.

I'm wondering if the XII has already expanded but they're waiting on the NY6 Bowls to finish up (i.e. football season being, basically, finished) before announcing what they've done.

Yormark sounds awefully certain of his position.

I feel like Yormark is using the threat of elevating MWC programs within the PAC 10 footprint as a means to scare the PAC 10 into some sort of partnership.

Media-wise, yes.

Culture-wise? The XII wants nothing to do with Cal and Stanford. Until the Primetime hire, Colorado was also a culture-cancer to the more conservative-leaning Conference of the Heartland...

They are just in the process of dumping Texas and /their/ political machinations; why would they want to add Stanford?

...or, if they get that good deal and UW/OU decide to refuse to sign a GoR. Unless the Conference has commitment from all its members, the 4C, for sure, won't stay.

I don't see the Pac getting a good deal without GOR sign.

The Big 12 still hasn't announced the 2023 football schedule only 8 months away from the 2023 season. Often, logistics like scheduling and travel are an excuse, but not a real issue.

its pretty obvious that the PAC doesn't have a "good" offer. The PAC knows that, with what it currently has on the table, its screwed. to me, they're just postponing the inevitable. they're not going to get saved by any streamer. they're not going to get a GOR. maybe its members are at least giving the PAC a chance, but its done. to me, the only thing that speeds it up is if the CA BOR gets ****** about UCLA. if that happens, i think that the B10 puts the meat to the PAC, sooner rather than later.

I tend to agree. If ESPN had upped its offer and things were getting close there would have been leaks. I Amazon was getting close to agreeing I would expect the same, if it was even simply a talks are proceeding in the right direction. Instead we have heard radio silence.

CA BOR met and approved move but UCLA has to pay them some tax or some nonsense like that.

Are they serious in "providing them with extra benefits, such as nutritional support (including guaranteed breakfast and lunch)". What school does not feed its players?

The "tax" isn't finale. It will be revisited once the PAC gets its new media deal.

They are approved to move, just don't know the Bail Cal price tag yet.
It is normal California answer to any problem, throw a tax on something.
