Jones, All4One is one of the guys who bashed KSU.

What is up with All4One? Who is he?
I’m not sure, I thought maybe you’d know since you were on the Sunbelt board and they like to talk about him a lot.

I’m waiting for him to come back to confront him. He’s incredibly hateful towards Kennesaw State.

The Twitter account that disappeared was very excited about KSU coming in. Like silly excited. Maybe it was a different person.
He only did that after Kennesaw joined. Before hand he was saying bad things about them as a CUSA candidate, and that CUSA wouldn’t be doing it right if they added KSU. Of course he pretended to be happy after they were added! He actually hated KSU.

Jones knows. All4One was the devil and racist.

RE: STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
I'm in the same boat of I've never heard of Tarleton until they joined the WAC. Heck I hadn't even heard of them when we announced we joined the WAC until all of a sudden we played them and I was like, who the what the huh? And for some reason certain people online want to tell me Tarleton is so good this that and the other, oh everyone went here, etc etc. I got no clue. I too was born and raised in Texas, Cypress (NW Houston) to be precise. So I obviously mainly know the schools around the Houston Area and the bigger ones outside. But I consider myself pretty well traveled around the state and still I don't think I could throw a pin within 50 miles of Tarleton. In college I've gotten to know a lot of folks from the DFW area, San Antonio, the pan handle, etc. Aside from one of my friends who's real country from south east of Lubbock, I don't think many of my friends from outside the Houston area have heard of Tarleton either until we played them. I knew more about UMHB, San Angelo, and Schreiner than I did Tarleton until the past year or so. They haven't even completed their transition to D1, but I will say their hoops are solid, and their FB isn't terrible for where they are, so they are on a good path for transition, but no where near ranking them in anything FCS related. All they have is a fresh new layer of paint thanks to A&M money to make them look good on the outside.

Also, I don't think I know anyone who has even driven by WKU much less a fan of. Not a shot at WKU by any means, I'm actually a lowkey fan once I started dabbling in the G5 with the rumors of us moving up. Just answering the question and a statement of I don't live in Kentucky lol

RE: STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
Tarleton is pretty well known in Central TX, and I have definitely noticed an uptick in social media posts about kids choosing to go to school there and what not. I'm pretty familiar with the school but it helps that like 7 of my cousins went there so I've known about the school since I was like 8.

That said, until they unveil renderings for this new basketball arena of theirs I'm convinced they're just putting lipstick on a pig. Sure, A&M money has upgraded their football stadium but it looks very patched together with one nice side, one old side, and a massive mountain of aluminum bleachers in the endzone. I hope their basketball facility will be better than that and I'm sure it will be. Their baseball/softball facilities are of high school quality as well.

I've spent quite a few weekends in Stephenville so I have a soft spot for the school. The students have a ton of pride while they're enrolled but also tend to forget about it when they graduate since the school is so remote. They also have a wierd mentality of "we're in the A&M system, so we're basically A&M" and "we're in DFW". My gf is a TSU alum and she couldn't care less about the school now.

Y'all clearly weren't Dr. Pepper fans.

Dublin is like right there next to Stephenville.

I thought you said you were from Texas?

Not liking Dr. Pepper is a bigger warning sign than not having heard of Tarrleton State.

Tarleton’s sorry excuse for a stadium expansion is indeed sad and ugly as Bobcat2013 said. Nobody has heard of that crappy school.

In fairness, they haven't been eligible, since they've been transitioning from D-II.

A fairer critique would be, "Tarleton State hasn't even played a season as a full member of FCS."

That is the reason why they should not get into C-USA as of now

Did you want TSU in the conference instead of Kennesaw State? Why are you bashing KSU?

Also in the same boat regarding Tarleton. Born and raised in Houston Proper and have lived in NW Houston (went to high school at Jersey Village) for 17 years now. The first time I ever heard about Tarleton was when they hired former Sam Houston coach Todd Whitten back in 2016 then promptly forgot about them until they moved up to D1 lol.

SFA on the other hand has long had a presence in the Houston area and they even buy out billboard space throughout town. It was one of the schools I applied to and I know of at least 7 people I graduated high school with who went to SFA. Recent success in basketball has only increased their visibility.

Tarleton however, nada. That's not to say that Tarleton is a complete unknown in other areas of Texas, but in Houston they're very, very far down in the pecking order.

Invite for SFA by late 2024. Money (UT system), Rivalry (SHSU), and geography (West "division" add). Only 1H 45min from the Bearkats.

And solid hoops (men and women), softball, and volleyball.

Football has been pretty decent in recent years as well. (Not a Top 5 program by any means, but they don't completely suck.)

I am not on either side but do have to say Tarelton is one of the fastest growing colleges in America with enrollment near 14,000 and with enrollment increasing every year when many schools are decreasing. We will know in 3 years who is the better candidate I think it is unfair to judge Tarelton now.

TBH given where both SFA and Tarleton are now with their respective athletics programs and on a university level, I could see it lining up well with C-USA's near future.

- Tarleton is currently midway through a full transition to DI which should wrap up around 2024

- SFA's integration within the U-Texas system should help stabilize the Lumberjack's financial and resource situations within a few years.

-WACSUN announced they plan to ramp up around 2024, with UTRGV joining in 2025

-C-USA's new 5 year media deal begins next year and should end in 2028. that gives about 1-2 years for all of the above to play out before C-USA needs to negotiate a new media deal.

Assuming all of the above plays out at both schools with no issues, and no other formal membership changes take place, I could see a scenario where in 2026 or 2027, C-USA formally invites SFA and Tarleton to join to get them factored into a new media contract and to split C-USA into East and West divisions for easier travel and scheduling.
