Also - when was last time we won a game by a FG?
I do recall us beating CMU with a last second FG at home probably 15-20 years ago. Can’t remember our kicker’s name but it was kicked through the uprights at the west end of Waldo, it was dark and kinda misty/foggy. I’ll see if I can find the year.
Found it. 11/17/2001 (21 years ago today…longer ago than I thought). Robert Menchinger with the game winning FG as time expired. 20-17 win.
And there was a big rushing of the field in the fog

If we're counting this situation we beat Buffalo in OT by a FG in 2009. That's just a specific instance i remember.

All wins against Chip Dips are welcomed and appreciated! 6 or 7 times up to Mt. Unpleasant for me. First several times in the '90s we lost every time, every different way you can lose a game: blow a lead, turnovers, try to come from behind, etc. It was tough to keep going back up there. I even saw WMU blow an 18 point lead in the last 10 minutes and settle for a tie. Only saw us win once up there. Yeah, i am happy for this win.

By the way, I’m admittedly not very good at noticing details most times, but were the helmets we wore for the CMU game a bit different that what we’ve worn in the past? I thought they were really sharp…particularly the gold stripe down the middle of the helmet. Very nice look!

Yes, the gold stripe was new. I didn't mind it, but the color did not match the yellow of the circle W's on the uni's, so I thought it looked disjointed.

It’s the same stripe that was added for the military uniform set against NIU. They might have kept it as to me it was a visual that stood out in the snow/blizzard.

Love that we have the brown, but don’t neglect the gold!
