Which might very well be better than staying in a B12, where Kansas and a few others are hoping for better berths.
The smart move during chaos? Find your friends : )
A possible BigEastAtlantic conference:
Boston College
Temple
Syracuse
Pittsburgh
West Virginia
Cincinnati – fb
ND - non-fb
Louisville
Memphis
Virginia Tech
ECU
Georgia Tech
Miami
UCF
USF
Presumably, if this was the outcome, the Tobacco Road 4 schools+VA, and FSU and Clemson are headed to the SEC.
If this league ever happened like this (and it won't): ECU would be FB only. Cincy would be a full member.
So I musta been tired when I typed that.
I remember looking the list over and trying to figure out how I got the numbers wrong. I initially had WF on the list and it wasn't adding up lol.
It's because it was supposed to include Cin for all sports and Uconn for fb only (due to being in the big east).
---- BigEastAtlantic - 15+1+1
Boston College
Temple
Syracuse
Pittsburgh
West Virginia
Cincinnati
UConn – fb
ND - non-fb
Louisville
Memphis
Virginia Tech
ECU
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech
Miami
UCF
USF
Here is the issue with UConn. They would actually be wanted more for Hoops and Olympic sports. I think this league would take the whole program though (hey we all need extra football wins). The state is a high income state. Having Cuse, UConn, UL, Pitt and WVU and Notre Dame would help in the NYC area for hosting future basketball championships. Probably enough to get MSG.
You’re getting me all misty-eyed Mark. I miss Big East Championship Saturday Night at MSG.
The Syracuse UCONN 6 overtime game in March 2009 was one of the greatest basketball games I have ever seen. When I get tired of the crap that passes for good college basketball these days I go to YouTube and watch it. It don’t get any better than that.
I still can’t believe we walked away from that for football.
I'd love the 2005 NBE for Basketball and the ACC for FB.
