I all of a sudden don’t feel as bad because I know UL & GSU & GSU feel worse than I do…

Wow. What an awful week for the SBC. We got cocky I guess. Almost negates last week.

Sadly....Marshall won't get ranked...will App? 50/50... Not a lot of upsets in top 25

Ranking the top two will be easy this week. The rest...not so much.

A Missed Opportunity To Make A Bigger Statement?
SBC this week is characterized as the awesome, the positives, the bad, and the ugly....

Fukashima,

In terms of disaster, its one of the worst possible scenarios, outside of FCS loss type things. However, since every game was close, we avoided a wide scale disaster.

Hey, at least Liberty lost. Are we losing sight of our priorities here?

There's always next week, SBC.

A game of inches. Difference between a good week and a bad week is small. We fell on the wrong side today.

Jeeeee sus . . . Pump the brakes.

When’s the last time this conference had a weekend like last weekend?

Exactly, and you think the P5 programs we engaged this week didn’t take notice? You think after last week’s results any of them wanted to get caught with egg on their face(s) ?

If it were easy, we’d have weekends like last weekend all the time.

Really?!? Because the non-butt hurt fan would say they should be 3-0.

A pretty cursed day, maybe we should be thankful JMU had a bye week.

App State wins on a miracle.
South Alabama and ODU played their P5 teams close.
Marshall had a 14-point lead and lost.
GAST is currently losing to Charlotte
Ark. St. is playing Memphis close
GS seemed outmatched
Louisiana is in a close game.
Coastal and Southern Miss took care of business
UL Monroe and TXST lost as expected.

After the big wins, the competition stepped up and I wonder if several teams got caught looking...

Not only did Sun Belt not make a statement, they took a massive step back. Marshall just lost to one of the worst teams in FBS football. Georgia State and Louisiana loss to winless Charlotte and Rice, and Ga. Southern lost by 14 to UAB who had lost to Liberty. Arkansas State and ODU could have made statements but lost. Coastal struggled for a long time before winning against a bad Buffalo team.

Well, USA & ODU had their chance at taking down a P5 and blew it, heartbreaking but we played with them.

GaSo and ArkSt lost to respectable G5 teams. Games we’d like to have for sure.

Marshall coming off a huge win in South Bend to lose to 0-2 BG and a GSU team that’s looked respectable against P5 opponents losing to freaking Charlotte?

Put it all together and it was a bad week.

Some weeks you’re the windshield, some weeks you’re the bug.

We just flew into a zapper and ricocheted into the path of a jet plane.

Plus, we have a great slate of league games next week.

JMU at App
UL at ULM
AState at ODU
Marshall at Troy
Coastal at GSU

In OOC play, South plays the 4th best team in Louisiana, and Southern Miss plays the 5th best team...so there are chances to be had in both those.

That crew we beat tonight might not be among the 25 best football teams in Louisiana. They might not finish 3rd in the NOLA Catholic high school district.

I’ve got no issue with ODU, Arkansas State nor South Alabama’s losses. They were all expected and closer than the line. So I’d call them good showings. Great if they’d won obviously.

Marshall, Louisiana and Ga States losses are just plain awful. OOC against opponents ranking from 116-126 in FPI.

Kinda hate that. I've known Brad for a long time now and he's a pretty damn good coach. Also, spent my freshman year at NSU.

I can certainly see 1-2 but in no universe did we deserve to lose to A&M. We should have won by more if anything
