Packer has a shtick and is good at it but you need journalists (with connections) and athletes (who can form complete sentences) and retired coaches (who have charisma and Football knowledge)...

So maybe the ACCN should hire Justin Fuente...

Sadly, I don't think its good at all...If they're gonna do Pack in the basement still, just should have kept Durham with him and move it to 4pm. Bringing in 2 no names (no disrespect to them) to Packs basement and trying to launch just doesn't do it for me.

I'd do Packer and Durham in studio couple days and Packer with Hale and Adelson 3 days in studio...Charlotte still has the studio right?

This show just doesn't do it for me...hope they make some revisions to it and quick.

Durham is doing more broadcasting for the ACCN / ESPN. Afternoons won't work for him as he is prepping for broadcasts during that time. I miss Wes on the show, but he is very good as a broadcaster so we at least get that benefit.

So many better options were available. Why those two?

David Hale. Roddy Jones. Katie George. Tom Luginbill. All vastly more entertaining, informative, and well spoken.

Mark Richt is on the ACCN. The Notre Dame guy is everywhere, and does a great job. Richt even said he’s not working during the Miami-TAMU game. So we’ve already got a U homer. Be happy there isn’t a Dook homer and

Yeah, I knew Wes was still doing games, reason why I mentioned him for a couple days a week, and rest filled in by others with Pack...

This show just feels 3rd rate....and the channel in general just doesn't bring it like I'd hoped.. even with a studio in the heart of ACC country.

I actually thought P&D were doing well in the mornings and had room to expand with road trip shows, etc...something went wrong there.

I imagine doing a morning show in Mark Packer's basement just wasn't doing anything for Mr. Durham. The ACC PM time slot is much better... but one oe Packer's co-host (Mr. Boston) is much, much worse.

Yeah, probably right there...wonder if he really didn't sign up for Packs basement for the long term, maybe COVID changed things in his mind, who knows. The faster they realize they're delivering a bleep show now, the better off they'll be. It does seem like the locker room of possibilities with ACC ties are limited...as compared to the SEC.

RE: Thoughts on ACC PM?
Packer could play off the "straight arrow" Durham. The outrageous take guy, to the play-by-play guy.

That's why it worked so well.

Now, Packer is stuck in the role of elder statesman, with two young pups not having the cred to be the straight arrow. And 3 people doing this show is one too many.

I'm not sure who you could get to fill that role ... but until they do, this is gonna be struggle-bus-city.

And I want so much for this to work.

I'm warming up to this show.

Maybe it's because there's meaningful football going on for them to break down. Maybe I'm getting used to them, or maybe they're getting better, or maybe all of the above.

Taylor Tannebaum is subtly really good.

And Tre Boston clearly knows the game. But sometimes I have no idea what he's saying. I'm not sure that's all me, or all him, or somewhere in between.

Anyway ....

Go Va Tech! Go Duke!

I do think the "In Play" show when I've caught it is actually pretty good.

I feel awful for Mark Richt. I realize that he's battling a crippling disease, but it looked like Weekend at Bernie's today for him. He looked unenthused and barely with it. For his own sake, and ours, I'd like to see him off the air. It was just uncomfortable. I sincerely hope he regains his health and comes back at some point.

Watched a few more times.

Pack is good. The FSU broad is acceptable. Tre is .... almost insufferable at times. Tre drinking game (professionals only):

- Every time Tre says "mmm" "ahhh" "oooo" "awlll" or some other onomatopoeia ... take a drink.
- Every time Tre says "YE YE YE YE YE" fast without meaning ... double shot.
- Every time Tre's analysis of a bad team is "gotta pick it up" ... take a drink.
- Every time Tre interrupts somebody else saying something salient to offer nothing ... take a drink.
