I love the time slot (though I miss my early-morning shot of ACC).

I love the football emphasis.

The female co-host from FSU (Tannebaum) knows her stuff and is a fine addition.

The male co-host from UNC (Boston) has to GO! That guy reduces the quality of the show every time he opens his mouth (and sometimes even when he doesn't).

JMO. What are YOUR thoughts?

Whatever they end up doing, it will be the absolute minimum that they can get away with. Mess with them and they'll Big East you.

I tend to agree with you based on their track record. However, there is a few reasons to think things may be different this time:

1. They just lost the Big Ten, and even if they're able to get a slice in the future, it's clear that the B1G no longer cares whether they're on ESPN or not - it's just about the money. Which means it will be expensive. Corollary: ESPN now has reason to fear losing ACC teams to the Big Ten.

2. They are at extreme risk of losing Notre Dame. The Irish are not joining the ACC nor even the SEC in full. That means the only way to keep a piece of ND is to keep the current arrangement going - but that requires a vibrant, competitive ACC. ESPN surely realizes there is some amount of financial gap that makes it impossible for ACC football to compete - and for Notre Dame to justify the 5-game scheduling agreement (they won't play a bunch of scrubs).

3. The ACC Network has become a big money-maker for Disney (to the tune of several hundred million dollars per year). If ACC sports (mainly football and men's basketball) don't remain competitive, people won't watch.

Does any of that mean ESPN will give the ACC an extra $50M per school ($710M per year)? Nope - but they know they don't have to. An extra $10M per school would go a long way ($142M per year).

Will it happen? IDK, but I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss it, either.

I forgot it debuted actually. But I set the DVR to catch the next day.

I had trouble getting into it. And I am sure they still need to get in a rhythm, or flow, of doing the show. Which will take a little time. I never thought I'd miss Wes this much. And I wonder if 3 co-hosts is a little too much for the basement setting.

I'll check back in next week --- after some games are played, and before the first real weekend gets started.

Agree!
It really misses Durham. Tannebaum knows her stuff but has no personality that's needed for TV. Dre Bly brings nothing to the show. I there are other former atheletes that could offer more.

I may return to watch after the first full weekend to see if it gets better but now it is not personally working for me.

Tre Boston, not Dre Bly.
Boston former UNC and Carolina Panther safety needs to end his television career before he further embarrasses himself and the ACCN.

Dre might be ok. Tre is awful.
It was a painful 30 seconds before I had to change the channel.

I really really miss Packer and Durham... that's my thoughts on ACC PM so far.

It's early, so I'll give it some time, but not a good a start.

THIS could be decent.

Packer should be alone or paired with someone with some cred. What a dumb decision.
They should fire everybody not named Packer and replace with The Coveted Invite if Durham won't play ball.
With all the Newhouse guys and gals running around ESPN and all we get is amateur hour.

Packer and Durham are VG...the rest are average to horrible.

Haven't seen David Hale yet...but he always has good info

Packer has a shtick and is good at it but you need journalists (with connections) and athletes (who can form complete sentences) and retired coaches (who have charisma and Football knowledge).

BTW, Mark Richt is really bad and you can tell he doesn't do any homework.

Having a Gagger on ACCN, Miami connections or not, shoulda been a no go.

I think it's too soon to shitcan everyone else but then I did find it unwatchable and would watch Packer and Durham fairly often.
