Saw the following put out by Austin Peay State saying they "shattered the athletic department record by raising $16,766,017 during the 2021-22 fiscal year. That record was nearly seven and a half times more than the 2,240,541 APSU raised during the 2020-21 fiscal year and over six times more than the previous department record of $2,789,340.43 from the 2014-15 fiscal year.
All this from the school most famous for the old days when the men's basketball team had a player named James "Fly" Williams which led to one side of the gym yelling "The Fly is open" and the opposite side would respond "Let's go Peay!" This is the year APSU moves from the Ohio Valley to the Atlantic Sun, of course Clarksville, TN is no DeKalb.
