Like for me, I've had Sirius for years and only use it while I'm in the truck. They recently went up to $25/mo and just priced themselves out of my portfolio. It's a matter of priority and ESPN+ is toward the top and is still a deal comparatively speaking.

Funny story.

I canceled Sirius/XM like 2 years ago....but they never deactivated my receiver.....

Nice. I once lived in a duplex and decided to rearrange my living room. When I moved the TV to a different coax outlet, I suddenly had free HBO.

I think that simply not deactivating cable on site when subscribers move has long been something that probably paid off for cable companies. I had a series of living situations in Macon, GA, with "free" cable...including one where we even called the company to set us up, then actually tried the connection, and called them back to say we changed our minds. A "helpful" technician did cut ours off one time when he was hooking up a neighbor and noticed we had cable but weren't on a plan. People are so nosy.

If it means never having to watch Marshall play another game on Facebook I’ll gladly pay whatever they wanted for the service.

Sling Orange & ESPN+ $45 total.

Do you notice whether Sling Orange is delayed or not? Once glofiber is available to me I'd really like to tell Xfinity to kick rocks all across the board, but I can't stand watching a JMU or Caps game and having to completely avoid Twitter so it doesn't spoil anything.

Yeah it has about a 10 second delay. That’s with YT TV or any of the streaming services unfortunately.

Thanks, yeah that's what I figured, I'm always hoping to find one that keeps up but probably won't happen. I hate that something so small in a way keeps me from cutting the cable but that's just the one thing I can't get past. And it's not so small when it ends up you have to avoid friends and other fans or have things ruined all season long lol

I guess we can see where the streaming cash cow is right now. They are basically given Hulu and D+ away. Our household has the bundle, I don't believe Hulu has ever been watched and, after the initial novalty has worn off, rarely has D+ either. But ESPN+ is watched pretty regularly. I canceled all other streaming subscriptions because they were never used. Not sure what it says about us that we pretty much only watch YouTube in our house?

I’m in the same boat as you guys. Although Disney+ gets used pretty often because I enjoy the Star Wars, Marvel, and NatGeo content. Especially right now with a lot of sports in the offseason. I probably spend half of my TV watching time on YouTube. There’s so much good content on there.

There's a way to sync the video and the radio broadcast.

If you have a DVR and a smart phone you can do it.

Listen to the game over your phone on an app. It will be BEHIND the video. Pause the video on your dvr until the audio catches up.

This actually works sometimes on ESPN+ as well. During softball regionals I was able to sync Ian and Bobby with the stream by pausing ESPN+.

Dumb question. Is ESPN+ and "ESPN+ College Summit (2021-2021)" one and the same? I'm thinking it isn't but that's the only ESPN+ I see listed on the Roku list.

ESPN+ is within the base ESPN app for Roku.

I think ESPN keeps the numbers to themselves, but I would love to see the football viewership numbers of each team in football among the Sunbelt and AAC this coming year.

Whatever the numbers, they will absolutely plummet once Cincy, UCF and Houston leave and the CrapUSA teams join. There is no way the AAC teams gets $7 million a year for the next 10 years (or whatever the remainder of the contract is), I dont care what any contract says. The Sunbelt will see more of that money than the AAC in a few years.

For those that still want live TV and have cable.

I'd suggest trying Hulu Live for $70 a month. ESPN+ and Disney+ come free with it.

I currently have YouTube TV but am going to switch in August.

Start with a base of what you can get for free OTA. I get plenty of football on ABC/NBC/CBS/FOX over the air without paying a dime . . . then add streaming services for parts of the year that make sense.

I've used HULU and Sling TV at times. . .

You'll never miss a Sun Belt conference game with either plan, between ESPN+ and the linear ESPN TV networks. I do wonder if Disney eventually drops their networks from YouTube TV, to promote their brand on their own service exclusively. I'm not sure how much being on YouTube TV helps or hurts the success of Disney+ and the success of the Disney brand in general.

Usa an OTA Antenna and get networks for free. Then add SLing TV and the ESPN's for $35 a month, then add ESPN+ for $7.... Total is $42 a month.

ESPN+ is about to be $10 but yeah that's still the cheapest route if that's all you want.

But you'll need another $10 for the sports pack to get ESPNU on Sling to see a lot of the SBC games. At that point you're in for $55 a month. I think the extra $15 for Hulu Live to get more channels, specifically every sports channel + unlimited DVR is worth it.

Today is the last day to get the old price for the yearly subscription. It's currently cheaper than football through baseball would be by the month with the new monthly charges.
