Way to take a stand, WKUYG. Wow, you told them.......

In case you hadn't noticed, one side or team is very anti-American in what they say, in what they do and in what they want. They've always been this way but now they are no longer hiding it.

You can't negotiate with those that want this country burned to the ground. So now, I'm part of the team over country problem, I suppose, according to your expert analysis. SMDH

And restrict access to schools to one primary point where everybody and everything that comes and goes can be observed and monitored.
We could easily turn schools into prisons and end all of this end everyone can spend the 2 hours per day working through all the protocols. I'm sure mental health will greatly improve.

Why does this school = prison rhetoric pop up any time that access controls are mentioned?

What about banks? They have extreme access controls to all sensitive areas. How about we make schools look like banks?

Or airports? What are your chances of getting to an airport gate without an ID check and a metal screening? How about we make schools like airports?

Bottom line, if you want "gun free zones," you cannot accomplish that without access controls.
There is a mental thing for our youths that needs to be weighed. I went to a school in the middle of Memphis that was an open campus. We might of had a flashlight cop, but can't remember. I'm now in the suburbs and my kid goes to a school that looks like a Supermax

Also most schools have at least 500 kids and you can't restrict exits. A single point of entry doesn't prevent someone from coming in an exit, either by someone letting them in or by piggybacking. Banks are small and they are robbed because people need money. Airport security is hell and I'd just as soon take my chances of getting shot than have to go through it at 8AM everyday with a line of 500+.
I have 3 kids and much prefer these measures don't get enacted. I'd much rather the money be spent rebuilding the asylums and hiring teachers that aren't headcases themselves.

They weren't "gun free zones" 40 years ago. I drove to school every day with shotguns and rifles in my car, and we went hunting after school.

Query--How many mass killings take place at "gun free zones" versus ones that take place elsewhere?

The sign "gun free zone" screams, "I am a soft target." If you truly want to have "gun free zones," you have to tighten access sufficiently to keep guns out.

Are you in a leadership role of the republican party? If so then yes you are one of them. If not then that leadership doesnt care about you and more than the democrats do. They will talk and say the correct thing to pull you in and more of what they say is aligned with your views...

most of its just that, talk because the first thing any republican or maybe I should say, most, will do...check the poll numbers.

The thing with the voters a lot of them want everything to go as they want the world to be. Well that's not very good for this country because we're all not the same or want the same out of life....

when the top of both parties are against you, you know you are doing something that is most likely best for most Americans. Its why the leaders of both parties tried so hard to knock Donald Trump out.

While running as a republican a lot of the things he said and was running on were democrat ideals while Clinton was president. But he was also running on republicans "values" and taxes.

Its why I and a lot of others can and could overlook the warts. Because what Trump wanted was the same things a lot of voters from both side felt the leadership of each had forgot.

So while you are correct your cant trust or work with democrats it doesnt change the fact republican leaders have not shown we can trust them to do whats best for working and middle America. Both are slim and for most its....

what's best for "them"

WKUYG, you sure used a lot of words to say that the leadership of both teams suck. I agree, wholeheartedly. That is why so many see things as a uniparty. What all of them care about is retaining power. When the GOP leadership refuses to fight against destructive policies the other party is pushing and often compromises, the ball continues to roll in a leftist direction. If you listen to what the leftists want, it is not good for this country as we know it. As Obama said, "we are going to fundamentally transform this country. We are the people we have been waiting for."

What is your solution, other than stating the obvious?

Tell me, which of the two parties has moved the most ideologically since the Clinton years? It is not the same playing field any more. The real radicals are driving the dem bus now. The GOP RINOs have assisted them in our lurch to the left as a country.
