Apparently Neatherly has a very fine group of safeties, corners and now DL. Luckey, I agree we are far better this year with defensive talent. In particular we have upgrades with Swindle being in his 2nd yr at DT, Carter Evans at DE in his 2nd yr, Jose Ramirez coming back, Myles at DE from Cincinnati, Benson coming off an injury in the secondary, and what I think is the best and deepest corners I've seen in 7 years. The only part I disagree with is your comment on the Linebackers. I think getting Scheidt back from injury, additions of Sparacio and Kline instantly make us better than last yrs group who frequently played on their heels.

Something struck me in a video posted by EMU football when they were doing the 'military' training.... Creighton said at the end of the video, "We have what it takes." I've never heard him say that and I think it's important. The recruiting has been, I think, really good the last 3-4 seasons and maybe CC knows that these recruits are now in their prime to win a trophy. I hope so.

I think we have a nice rotation on the DL even without Haney. We also have Tariq back at LB so there is 2 deep depth there.

I agree we will be much deeper. While I don't think we will be workd beaters, I do think we now have enough depth and talent to sustain an entire season. I do predict us to be much better on the defensive side. Imagine if Swindle and Evans were a year or 2 older. I'd be even more excited

I was looking at our roster on the school site and noticed that next to each guys name and class there is a number (not jersey #) I think this refers to how many yrs of playing eligibility is left. I think this is new and if I'm correct, this is an awesome way of determining who will be returning as the extra covid yr throws a wrench in trying to figure out.

I saw that a couple of days ago, but I think it is wrong with some players. For instance Brady Pohl, he redshirted in 2019, played in 2020 but that didn't count, then played in 2021 but it says he has 1 year left. When he should have 3. I think it is cool and useful just make sure to check because those numbers can be wrong.

I think we split Louisiana and Arizona State. They both have a bunch of players leaving. Arizona State is in other turmoil. Louisiana Lost their head coach and their top players. It's also early in the season. I think we pull off a surprise when out of one of those two.
