I’m not saying they’re going to but if anyone was going to leave, those are the most likely scenarios at this point and truthfully I want ULM gone unless they can figure out a way to bring their facilities and level of play up to the level the rest of us are on. Texas State, I’m okay with them staying.

So the likelihood of a schedule tomorrow is less than 10% right?

Since we're now talking future "what if's". Is there anyone in the SBC gullible enough to take an AAC invition of they have more exits? I still think more teams leave the Big XII before this is over.

Tomorrow there's a 0% chance, but it jumps up to 100% on Tuesday

Not sure how the SBC office will handle this, but Tuesday is Mardi Gras. Chances are the office may be closed. So unless handled outside of working hours, Wednesday might be the day.

They'll release Tuesday. Usually, it's in the late morning.

1. We add 2 that are unhappy with the new AAC to move to 16
2. ULM drops to FCS and we decide to add a team to replace them
3. Texas State decides to move to CUSA or AAC to be with more Texas teams and we decide to add a replacement
4. Texas State and ULM both make the mentioned moves above and we add two to replace them or possibly add 4 to get to 16

I think if 3 or 4 teams are added there will be a major focus on improving the west. That could include realigning the divisions. Likely names to be mentioned for additions at that time based on division:

East

ECU
USF

West

UTSA
UAB
LT
SMU
Memphis (if they haven’t left)

IT seems to be a common thought that Texas State would want to go to MWC or AAC even though they haven't shown that. However, Texas schools that have shown that would want to be in the SBC. Same with ULM who wants to be here and LT who has proven they don't. The money is so close together that it wouldn't be worth it in the first place.

much rather pick up a TX team to complement TST, rather than losing them (i mean, AAC and CUSA are not attractive anymore...)

At the risk of derailing a thread, you think that MAC door will still be open for em after the dust settles from this?

I believe that MT admin think they will get an AAC invite if Memphis is ever poached. If the MAC finds another replacement for MTSU and offers the new school plus WKU, if Im the Hilltoppers I jump on that as fast as I can.

The thing is none of these new schools that the AAC is trying to catch lightning in a bottle with, none of them have the potential to be a UCF or Cincy. UCF and Cincy have both cities they are in behind them, none of the 6 have that.

I'd love to grab WKU and LaTech and call it a day and be done with all the realignment Buuuuuuullllllllllshite!

To Hell with that!!! I say we hold out for ECU to join, they'll eventually grow tired of CUSA I mean AAC.

How could Texas State not want to be in the AAC? They would be with a ton of other Texas schools.

That’s not true at all

CLiT averages 12k attendance 03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao The comparison with Western Carolina fits.

I would love to grab Tech. They fit right into the footprint of this conference. I know the other Louisiana schools hate them, but they would enjoy how easy the travel would be in the long run. ECU would be a great addition for the other side.

I think ULM deserves more respect than that. They helped start Sun Belt football. It’d be nice to see improvement out of them but they’d say the same thing. I’m never going to be in favor of dropping ULM for a LT or anything. I mean TB had them win 4 games in 1 year there after they went 0-10 without his own recruiting class. I could see ULM in 2-3 seasons being a team that is in the top half of SBC play.
