Personally I think we are set for now but I think in 5-10 years we will see another round of realignment that we are involved in. I think there are 4 possible scenarios that lead to the next round for us:

1. We add 2 that are unhappy with the new AAC to move to 16
2. ULM drops to FCS and we decide to add a team to replace them
3. Texas State decides to move to CUSA or AAC to be with more Texas teams and we decide to add a replacement
4. Texas State and ULM both make the mentioned moves above and we add two to replace them or possibly add 4 to get to 16

I think if 3 or 4 teams are added there will be a major focus on improving the west. That could include realigning the divisions. Likely names to be mentioned for additions at that time based on division:

East

ECU
USF

West

UTSA
UAB
LT
SMU
Memphis (if they haven’t left)

I agree. No to LA Tech. But imagine how funny it would be to watch them backtrack on all the smack talk.

No you had it right. Early on there was talk of ODU going to Harrisonburg and then more recently I've heard JMU is coming to Norfolk. Personally makes no difference to me, Living here in SE VA, it's an easy day trip. However, we did play at JMU the last time we beat them, to win the CAA.

The last straw was from there AD. He isn't there anymore but be assured he didn't talk down to us unless the higher ups didn't agree. Its the attitude tech has had for years. I would love to see them in D2 or shut down. That won't happen either.

I hope our AD and president and coaches understand Charlotte is just a half step above Western Carolina and if we need a team in that area, might as well bring them up from Cullowhee.

I don't care about potential future expansion. I just want to play ball in my 14-team conference starting this fall and know which weeks those games are on.

Can we not with the ULM and TxState leaving SBC scenarios and what-ifs? I hope the SBC3 are conference mates with both and the other 9 teams for a long, prosperous time.
