Why do you think that?
I think he’s referring to Cincinnati possibly losing Luke Fickell to Notre Dame.
That’s what I was referring to. Hope it doesn’t happen.

Seems like they’re going to hire Freeman the DC, so hopefully Fickell stays at Cincy for a while.

hopefully OK state, Cincy, and Ga win champ games. It would be great to see 2 future B12 schools in playoffs.

And as noted above, ND went internal, which is good for the Bearcats.

With all the high profile job openings, if Iowa State can make it through without losing Campbell and Cincy without losing Fickell then that is a major win for the new Big 12. Right now, things are looking positive that we will see that be the case.

Agreed. Also hope Baylor can hold onto Aranda and Gundy doesn’t leave OSU (Which him staying seems likely at this point)

The new Big 12 will be a better overall football conference than the old one. Looking at this season, you'd be trading out #14 Oklahoma and 5-7 Texas for #4 Cincinnati, #12 BYU, #21 Houston, and 8-4 UCF. Sure, no one has prestige or the ability to generate revenue/viewership like OU and Texas. But I think the overall quality of play and health of the league will be better long term.

The question is whether or not the fundamentals are there beyond any one coach. The four newcomers all have shown a culture and commitment to suggest that they’re going to be strong programs. I won’t miss uT although the long history with OU makes their departure bittersweet. But it’s going to be fun.

Well barring some real garbage happening, Cincy should punch a tix to playoffs. Congrats to the only Unbeaten team left in Bowl series FB.
