OK, after today’s AAC news, count me firmly in the Marshall, along with ODU, USM and either WKU or James Madison to the Sun Belt…NOW!

No iteration of CUSA in the future appeals to me, any longer. Enough with CUSA’s poor leadership, bad deals, and lack of exposure. I feel bad for schools that will be left, but we need to move forward!

Sooner they leave the better. Can't wait to get to the sunbelt with stronger conference mates. Cusa would be fine if we added Appy, coastal, liberty, JMU, maybe Louisiana. But we know this conference is garbage leadership so, that isn't gonna happen so we take the best and go to them. The AAC kneecapped themselves with these market picks. Their media deal is gonna fall apart and the respect they worked to gain is gone overnight.

Lol exactly. The MWC and Sunbelt are no question going to be #1/#2, unless our leadership mucks it up and stays in cusa and screws us again.

I know you’re fairly new but as past realignment went once it was official schools were moved. Precedent was set. Time for those not in CUSA to move along.

As I said earlier I’m just basing it off multiple past movement and yes once Marshall left the MAC we moved on to this board. I don’t care either way. If you guys want to stay here so we can continue to laugh at the AAC like the rest of the nation is already doing then stick around for the laughs.

While I'm anticipating our move to the AAC, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for our time in C-USA. I truly enjoyed the competition we had with other programs in C-USA West, and the basketball battles we have all had over the past few seasons. From the time UNT first got to C-USA, I believed it could be a great conference. I was a C-USA homer and would argue with anyone while trying to promote unity within C-USA. Unfortunately, C-USA never had the leadership it needed under Judy, and never shared the unity we needed to make this conference work at the level it should have worked.

I don't know what the future holds for those remaining in C-USA, but I hope UNT can keep scheduling y'all. I enjoyed our games with LA Tech, Southern Miss, and UTEP. I know UNT won't be leaving C-USA for a few seasons, but I plan to still post on here and keep chatting it up with y'all after we are gone... if it's okay with y'all.

There won't be a CUSA board to post on. CUSA is dead.everybody is jumping ship. The only schools left will be La Tech, UTEP, and FIU. WKU and MTSU also if they don't get in the MAC.

You may be right. CUSA could die, or exist with the following. The WAC could also be in play for the remnants.

I think a WAC consisting of the following could actually work. Mind you, I would MUCH rather have WKU with us in the new Belt than JMU. Lets say we go with Southern Miss, Marshall, ODU and JMU as being reported.

The new WAC could consist of:

WKU
MTSU
FIU (crazy for them)
La Tech
UTEP
Missouri State
North Dakota State
Montana
NMSU
Liberty
UMASS (football)
UConn (football)

Then there are no more independents. Army could go the the AAC. I think it's a real possibility.

I think everybody agrees, the writing is on the wall. There won't be any independents, not with these new 12 team playoff initiatives. Notre Dame will eventually go to the ACC. It's going to force these Independents to make a decision, either drop back down to FCS or receive an olive branch.

Better C-USA teams go to AAC and, somehow Sunbelt is smiling? At best, the SunBelt is picking average to below average teams from SunBelt.
