I do agree our offense should score 24+ points, but what makes you think our D will hold UTSA below their average? Texas Southern's offense was a jauganaut against us in the 2nd half, and USM tacked on the yardage against us.

I love the optimism, but as I posted this in an earlier pre-game thread this year, betting on Rice scoring >30 in the Bloomgren era is risky.

In Bloomgren's 35 games at Rice, Rice has scored 30+ points on 6 occasions (31 vs. Prairie View in 2018; 31 @ MTSU in 2019; 30 @UTEP in 2019; 34 vs. MTSU in 2020; 30 @So. Miss in 2020; 48 vs. Texas Southern in 2021). So only 4 times against FBS teams.

As the counter-weight to predicting that Rice will score 30+ points, Rice has scored 10 or fewer points on 8 occasions under Bloomgren.
