the author has strong ucf ties so was extremely favorable towards ucf ..encompassed what he thought of UCF- the best of UCF from a long term fan perspective.. and everyone else he judged off the 1 time he went there in a ucf away game...
he ranked UH low on uniqueness when the exterior of our stadium is literally an art piece, we have cowboys running around everywhere, and have students screaming a fight song that they've reworded
... gave UH a 3 in beauty (lowest ranking he gave) despite the stadium being brand new..
no offense no way you ranked Tulane a 4 in atmosphere.. and smu a 3, and temple a 1.. not unless again you happened to catch Tulane on good game (season), and catch the other 2 on a bad game (season)
im sure the author wouldnt like using the 4 fans in the stands UCF season to judge the atmosphere of UCF..
its all offseason not like it matters either way
I haven't been there personally, but get the feeling that Houston was disrespected on the list. The new stadium looks pretty good on TV. I'd like to get there at some point for a game.

AAC needs a big time bowl for the biggest game and end of season, 2nd and 3rd ranked teams that don’t go to ny6 bowl
I don't disagree that "Liberty Bowl" is THE stadium name with panache in the Conference. Though I would note, ironically, the "Liberty Bowl" game actually originated in Philadelphia of all places...and then spent some time being played indoors in Atlantic City, NJ, before having an actual stadium built for the game in Memphis. I will also note, as a fan of architecture, the Liberty Bowl stadium shared lines and heritage with Arrowhead Stadium in KC and the old "Sombrero" in Tampa, and so, architecturally is distinct and interesting.
I don't think that necessarily means that "the Championship Game should always be played there." But that's a different argument for a different day. I also think that the Liberty Bowl stadium actually suffers a bit with the closure of the Mid-South Arena that made for a pair. I understand the material condition of the arena, but I think that [the University of] Memphis had their basketball team playing in a facility paired up with the Liberty Bowl (like they had in the Mid-South Arena) would only enhance the image of both FB and BB programs. But again, that's a whole different argument for a different day.
(And I get it... I'm a Bearcat fan. Our Football, BB, and Baseball facilities are all tightly grouped together. And I think that works to enhance all three programs. Seeing Shoemaker (and the Varsity Village) from Nippert, and knowing that the Baseball stadium is right next to it gives an identity to the whole of the Athletic department.)
I would agree that there is something to be said for a stadium and athletic complex that are both all together and on campus. That's what I love about DFS. Campus sits right between downtown and the athletic complex. Last month we grabbed lunch and a beer downtown, walked through campus (just under a mile maybe) to DFS for the Spring game, then walked next door to the baseball game.
I can’t speak on stadiums, as I’ve only been to Nippert, but as far as logos go, the retro anthropromorphized Green Wave logo with his fists up is awesome.
