RE: I've never seen worse officiating
Officiating was embarrassingly bad. The game was clearly called much tighter for Memphis than it was Houston. The DJ play alone was horrendous. I have never seen a player get his leg rolled up on with nobody around (plain for every ref on the court to see) and not get a foul call. Beyond being a clear foul it is a terribly dangerous play. I have never seen a defensive player jump in front of a player going around a screen and get the charge call on what is a blatant block. Hell, Lester had a player throw an elbow at him and Lester got called for the foul. Not to mention the consistent over the backs that lead to several offensive rebounds.

Ya, if we make a few free throws we win. But the point is that this game should not have been within a free throw or two if it had been called even halfway decent.

The AAC league is an embarrassment to itself.

The lack of transparency and accountability is troubling. Officiating and management.
After the scheduling fiasco, we still have not heard an explanation from Aresco or even our own Veatch. Instead, they leave the coaches Sampson and Penny to go around talking about it.

It's why Sampson wanted the game in Houston. The worst call to me was when a Tiger player pushed a Cougar going in for a shot, the trailing cougar player winds up shooting and hitting his shot but the ref didn't call the foul which should have stopped play BEFORE the trailer made his two. Same thing happened in the Kansas/Memphis NCG. The failure to call an obvious foul is as bad as blowing a call. Trouble is there is no accountability for refs who do these things. I've said it for years. They can change the outcome of a game and nothing happens to them.

The midget ref ****** us the entire game. Worse than the other two.
