IDK, I'm actually kind of conflicted on this one. The original logo could be argued towards a slavery era angle but not the current one. Then again, the logo also depicted a domesticated person, aka doing housework, with the hair piece.

Then again, I think the other side of this is people reading more into it than is there.

I think most people see it as a brand of syrup, et. all, and not much more than that.
