Yep. And I expect a few more of these over the next couple months (almost had another at Detroit). BUT...I still think this team can be better by the time they are in the second half of the MAC schedule, and then who knows what could happen come MAC tournament time. But we need to find a solution for a back up PG. it’s not Saunders, who has a different skill set. If Moore isn’t going to redshirt, then I’d like to see him get more playing time do that maybe, just maybe, he can give us a solid 7-8 minutes a game as a truer PG down the stretch.

True re: Saunders. He is all about one-on-one and he’s really struggling with handles.

RE: UT v. UMKC
most of the team looked like they didn't want to be there. both of the jackson's we're stuck in cement on defense. no one made shots. this team needs marreon healthy and sharp to be good. if he has a bad night it's over. would have liked to see some zone. would have liked to see all the starters or all but luke benched for 10 minutes. saunders is not a pg. perhaps, the worst thing that could have happened with him was the torrid shooting start. he was so good early he starting developing some bad habits and then rushing shots. this team will be good if it learns how to exploit good matchups and be careful with the ball. we have enough shotmakers and offensive schemes to score, but you can't turn it over or take lousy shots early on offense.

2 pretty good opponents coming up. wright st games are always to the wire. they got a good and huge big man, a good veteran pg, and some depth. bradley is more like a so-so P5 team game. they are big and deep but not always efficient on offense. will try to bully us. big arena with pretty good crowd support (usually, but this is a winter break game) will add to the P5 feel.

rockets need to cough this one up and get better on both ends

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Wright states big man out for the Toledo game with an injury?

UMKC uses defense to defeat Toledo.

Only saw one score posted on this thread. Sounds like I was premature in saying this team looked like it was different from past teams that showed no fire, turned the ball over too much, and played very little defense for fear it would tire them out too much.

Don't think they feared being tired. They looked beat. Slow motion, hands on hips, being out physicaled on 50/50 balls.

WSU big man, Love probably will not play. He fractured his elbow and is still recovering. WSU has Cole Gentry at the point guard and Billy Wampler, small 6-6 forward who both can shoot the 3 when on. 6-9 Basile, # 21 has been a capable center in place of Love.
