On the 17th UT plays UMKC at their place. They are 3-0 at home, but two of those were against non-D1 competition. The other home win was against Western Illinois. They are just 3-7 v. Division 1, but have played a formidable schedule. They have losses to Oklahoma State, Iowa State, Kansas, Drake, Milwaukee, Liberty and McNeese. In addition to the WIU home win, they beat both George Washington and East Carolina in a tournament in the Bahamas. UT played poorly at Detroit Mercy, and probably needs to step it up a little against UMKC to avoid a loss. Here is hoping we play like we did at Marshall and come back home with a big victory margin.
Why oh why do we even schedule UMKC or any other team like them for that matter? Especially at their gym. I would never schedule them. It's not a knock on UMKC, but, we are supposed to beat them and if we don't people ask why? If we do win people will say well we should've.
