Sadly it's what happens when you're in a G5 conference and not a blue blood. We know we're a good team but UC doesn't have the luxury of getting the benefit of the doubt.

Part-in-parcel of our territory. Here in Cincinnati we get shat on by UK fans, OSU fans (no offense to you, you are a rational OSU fan but the Cincinnati-based OSU fans are loons) and Xavier fans on a daily basis. The MSM in town hates us, save for a one or two guys and have to rely on The Athletic and 247 to get any UC news. Nationally, we are not seen as cool and hip as UCF, USF, Houston or even Memphis. We don't get "underdog" cred like a Boise or most of the other G5 schools. People in other parts of Ohio constantly mock us for being "really in Kentucky" and not understanding why we aren't OSU season ticket holders. Life is pretty tough down here.
