Wonder if the staff can verify the data???
More like 4.45-4.7.
I believe, Pitts, FL TE, kind of broke the mold with a 40 in under 5.0 (around 4.5 seconds).
T.J. Hockenson is a 4.7 guy. I doubt a DT can run with him.
If this DT is under 5.0 is has potential to be an impact FBS player.
Now I have too look up Aaron Donald's 40.
EDIT: "At the NFL Combine, Donald set the record for fastest 40-yard dash time for a defensive tackle with a 4.68."
Pitts ran a 4.44.

I know. I said. 4.5 which is 1/2 of a 10th of a second which is literally at the bounds of measurement error even for electric timing.
One has to remember there is measurement error including the ability of the runner to anticipate the sound of the gun.
Regardless, if a DT is anywhere near 4.7, 4.8 or even 4.9 (electronic timing) he will be a force to be reckoned with.
A DT with 4.7 is unblockable in the NFL what would he do in FBS. Oh, I remember him doing it in Detroit at the bowl game.

No thanks... He was committed to Miami Oh, then Pitt, then who else? No thanks Our O-line is stacked with young talent.
Interesting choice the staff may have to make. Fugedi is one I had hoped we'd get. He would be a very good MAC recruit, but as you indicate we are very full at OL.
Our fall practices begin the first week of August and players are on campus, etc.

The 2021 class is looking strong.
I dont understand. 2021 commit?
All I'm saying is that the '21 recruiting class is looking good on the field.
Lot of performers at all levels like frosh, transfers, etc. May go down in history as one of our best.

Looks like a 6' 280 lb. NT / DT from the state of Texas and played one (freebie) year at Blinn CC.
Listed as 4 to play 4.
Interesting we were still recruiting DL, esp DT, during the summer.
Tell us anything???
For those who wonder why we are not getting 2022 DL verbals, it might be because we added I think 5 or 6 in this 2021 class...
Our DL will improve as they improve.

Unless there is an objection I'm going to recommend this thread be demoted from important to regular.
