I think most of the bigger coaches are smarter about this. That’s how Bill Self got away with those texts. They were vague enough. New coaches like Wade aren’t smart enough to do that. I hope penny is smarter than that.

It will be interesting to see if LSU and Wade's situation has any effect with our ol' bud Brucie Pearl and Auburn. Last I heard he wasn't cooperating with Auburn's administration either about his involvement in this situation. On the other hand he is winning, which I don't think Auburn has been very successful doing in a while, so they might look the other way unless the spotlight shines a little stronger on them.

He is right not to meet with LSU or NCAA investigators because he is in so much trouble with the FBI. But LSU is right to fire him for not cooperating too.

Agree he's just trying to get his contract paid out.

And he's 100% correct to have his lawyers involved and not cooperate if lawyer says not to.

What he is doing is probably maintaining leverage for some sort of way reduced buyout so he can get some financial compensation out of it. If he went along with the LSU internal stuff they'd lead him down the garden path and put it all on him and fire him and not pay anything.
