I disagree. We aren't "garbage" fans. There is too much geography and too few fans in CUSA to make a tournament in Frisco an "attendance success". In the final last year, I may have seen 50-60 Marshall fans in the stands. That's not a poor reflection of your fan base. It's a result of having to travel 996 miles. It's damn expensive after having to factor in meals and a hotel.

None of us have the numbers of the big schools. I mentioned this on another thread, but Marshall would probably have to bring about 45% of it's total fan base to fill The Star. Charlotte would have to bring about 50% of all it's fans to do the same. Rice would have to bring about 70%.

We don't have the numbers, and the exorbitant travel is a severe hindrance to all those fans who would otherwise love to be there. If we were all within a 600-mile radius of one another, it would be a very different story. The Star would be packed. Fans would be everywhere.

Hasn't happened in CUSA ever. The lowest seeded team to win CUSA was in 2010 when Houston won it from the 7th seed. An 81-73 win over #1 seed #25 UTEP.

You will never see it. You can't find the attendance figures from last year anywhere. There's a reason for that. If someone finds them I will be happy to get proven wrong.
