Pass defense is a beautiful thing.

Thought we had that one blocked! Think it was the freshman Chamberlain was inches away.

Much better job by the defense there on the 3-and-out. Alldredge (he's going to be a good one) made a couple of plays and Nyakwol with another nice play too on 2nd down. Robert almost got a pick of his own.

This team doesn't panic with a slow start...unlike this message board. But then again the team didn't suffer through the preceding last 12 years like the message board did.

We're definitely getting exposed a bit in space by their athleticism. They've been pretty effective with those lateral playcalls.

Production quality of this broadcast is astonishingly bad. Almost expecting the Winter Wonderland superbowl halftime show to start.

Again, fine coverage by Bickham, they're just beating us 1v1 all across the field.

Secondary is showing some grit this week. Most of the damage seems to be on variations of screen or short passing plays ... as I type, USM completes a 60 yard pass (40+ in the air), and the defense was there...

Secondary still getting shredded.

End of the quarter. USM driving. Rice playing some guys who haven't played much (Calderon, Schuman).

Have to win the short field battle. Speed becomes less of an advantage when the field shrinks. I.e. inside the 20 yard line.

Seems like our DBs are hanging with the Eagles’ receivers down the field. Just can’t make the break ups consistently.
