Idiotic comment.

Not easy going east across 5 time zones to start at 11:00 a.m. against a good, well-coached option team - and to lose by 7 points.

And, players and coaches must be thinking about the devastation taking place back on the islands.

Hawaii also had 10+ hours of travel and was expected to play a 5am kickoff. Army was the favorite in that game.

What devastation? They had a real hurricane a month ago before the Rice game. But this week, a small tropical storm hit Maui but missed Oahu. If they're still reeling from Lane, then I guess we stink because they still beat us with their heavy hearts.

So-so day for CUSA (actually okay by its sad standards).

UAB beat Tulane 31-24 at home (so much for Tulane's stupid comment during the week about them being better than UAB). UNT beating Arkansas 17-0 in the 1st quarter on the road. That's the good news.

UTSA tied with Kansas State 7-7 in the 1st quarter. Too early to get excited there.

Georgia beat Middle Tennessee State 49-7. Tennessee shut out UTEP 24-0 which I guess isn't bad for UTEP's defense but their offense is pitiful (they barely had 100 yards in the game).

UH and Texas Tech tied 7-7 in the 1st.

UNT perhaps just had one of the greatest trick plays I’ve ever seen.

A fake fair catch.

Didn’t Big Al run his trick fair catch play against the Hogs in Fayetteville too?

And how can Rutgers, of the B10, not be the worst D1 team after losing 55-14 at KU?

They lost. To Army.

Coogs rolled up 21 pts in with 1:00 left in 1st quarter. 245 tds passing 1 Q for King.

The opener they had against us is stacking up to be a 'good game' for us.

RE: Other games Week of Sept 15
Texas Tech just tied UH 14-14, and then promptly allowed a 79 yard TD reception (on a 37 second drive) to give UH a 21-14 lead in Q1.

I'm really struggling on who to cheer for in this game. I usually go for G5 teams against P5 teams, but I struggle to cheer for UH.

In the end, I suppose a UH win shines a better light on Rice, so I guess that is who I will begrudgingly pull for.

Syracuse shuts out Florida State 24-0 for their first win against the Seminoles since 1966 (when Floyd Little was RB). Does FSU even practice this year?

From reading the Parlament, Hawaii was a top 50, border line to 25 team. I would think that team could beat Army.

Great defense.
